Because some douchebag was attacking, but your team didn´t want to let him go.
they aren´t pacing for you or your sprinter. they are pacing for themselfs, they want to win. and just pace for it, leaving you in the back, being the bad guy

One of the new great features in the game is that you can control your rider's trajectory on the road. You do so by pressing 4 and 6 on the num pad, but unfortunately my keyboard doesn't have a num pad. Can I use other buttons or somehow change the keyboard settings?

I don't have a numpad either, and no numlock button on my keyboard. I have found the only solution for me was to have the on screen keyboard up. Tried to describe how I do it here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=40332 It is not ideal but it is sort of a solution. I hope they add some alternative keys for moving sideways in a future patch.

Buy a keyboard, or extra numpad

Damn. French stage racer. In fourth season, managed to win the Vuelta with a few seconds in the final time trial, winning first Grand Tour he raced.
Season 5 would be a big test, new team, first Tour de France, Ardennes classics...

Instead what happens: After a bad form start (still 4th in Paris Nice), an injury after Crit International. Until start of July. Already at the end of July and it keeps moving up. Couldn't race Ardennes, Nationals, Tour de France... Now let's refocuse towards the Vuelta and the World Championships.

Really love this, albeit a bit furstrating Grin

You had to put Training intensity to 0 to shorten the injury,
if you keep it on 1 2 3 4 or 5 the injury only will become longer

Obviously it is still PCM so i am getting annoyed by the same things like always, but still the new game mode is great fun. I can see a lot of things to improve, but majority of these were already mentioned - giving orders to teammates (sometimes 7 guys are just watching me try doing nothing), being able to spend money (but no for stats, maybe some fancy bikes or so?).

I have not touched anything outside of this mode yet. Smile

Teammates won´t do anything if you are Taking over, Getting water or Attack,
they only protect if you take position or go on your own intensity.
they will only pace at the end of the race to lead you to a Stage win. they wont pace for a stupid points or mountain jersey

huh, then I'm not alone in this one.
I'm also having that problem and trying to do exactly the same thing. Anyone tried to train in hills and got good boosts on it?

edit: alright, next level I got a +2 on mountain and on hills. So keep trying Pfft

I did try to experiment on which races I drove in 2017, and I tried only to take part in the hilly races (of course a few flat and mountains, but i guess you get the idea). i got +1 in hill, but also in mountain, and at that point i was 79 mountain and 73 hills.
Its a little annoying, and i get figure out if im doing something wrong, f.ex. if i started with too much mountain without training hills and others, or it is a bug..

If you are a mountain specialist you won´t get 77 - 77 climb hill,
Climb will always be higher otherwise take Tour as speciality you (.............)
don´t train on hill if you are a mountain specialist. -_-

Does anyone know why winning a mountain classification doesn't show up as a season victory? Wondering if this is a bug or if it is intentional.

Only Time Classification counts as a win.

Vuelta, Tour and Giro jerseys are a Complete win, as achievement

Don´t simulate, You can only get injuries if you simulate, if you won´t simulate you are infinite health, you can´t get ill or injured

That's not true, I finished a stage (didn't simulate) put was withdrawn in the rankings afterwards.

Edit : And besides, who actually has time to race every stage?

Quite nice season, starting a little bit hard. getting breakaways for 100 kilometers and more but couldn´t pull the win, Won some mayor races after the Cyanide Cup 1, 2 and 3.

Season 2: Bretagne - Seche Enviorement.
Nice races, won pretty much races. came to some nice wins. and won my first CWT Tour on a small timebase, team worked pretty well with me. failed on the Paris-Roubaix (too low cobble stats), National Champion (RR)

Season 3: Team Sky
Froome went to Movistar making me the leader in Climbing, with Tony von Gorderon as assistent-climber. Cancellara and cavendish also in Team sky, so much leaders nice team, Won the Milan-Sanremo, Tour time, mountain, youth
Vuelta all jerseys, Giro all jerseys, National Championship Double (RR and TT)
World Champion (RR)

Season 4: Astana
Currently busy, but won my first Paris-Nice (first time doing this tour), and aiming to win the World Championship TT and the Tour de France Points Jersey to get a complete achievement wall.

Season 1 Teammates:
Mikayhov, made some nice climbing double wins for the team (2nd behind me)
Putkov, protecting and a nice sprint leadout, however i´m a climber

Season 2 Teammates:
Fraille, not the best teammate, doing nothing but waiting for me to attack, losing the climb from me due to fatigue.

Season 3 Teammates:
Cancellara perfect leadout and pacer if not an cobbled race.
Cavendish perfect leadout and pacer if not an sprint race.
Von Gorderon good pacer if together in the breakaway, saving my energy.
Wiggins good time trialist helping in TTT and protecting

Season 4 Teammates:
in progress

Not, Lachis Editor says Gene_i_age_decline = 0
meaning there is no limit, so you need to choose when you stop.
(you need to know, how longer you play, how worse your rider becomes, because if you become like 30 you won´t get any upgrades only downgrades)

How can i retire my cyclist or what age because i havnt found a button to do so.

There is a sentence in a manual that makes me believe that you can choose to start with the guy again from the scratch after he would have age for retirement. But not sure on this, we will have to wait for someone to try it. Smile

@Jesleyh: I know and i am glad i made an investment into the game (also because of your hype), but i am already seeing many things worth improving for next year. Grin

Nope, i have seen that too. No rider in the break actually and whole team was pacing for the sprinter. They have not cared about me, but they certainly cared about the sprinter who was a favourite for the stage. But it was only once and also with Slovakian U23 National team (for Erik Baška), so same as niini.

Most of you probably know it by now, but the training results are totally random. I saved my game a day prior to levelling up and reloaded it few times. Every time I levelled up differently.

Also, if you change the training focus just before levelling up (e.g. from climber to sprinter), the game will increase your skills in that new training category (i.e. it does not matter that you trained as a climber for the last three month - the sprint skills will be affected).

Can somebody post his experience with the Training (Stage, Puncheur, TT).

As a stage racer i tried to mix stage Training and puncheur, which give me a good stat mix.

Start as stage specialist, my lvl ups:
1. Puncheur
2. Stage
3. Puncheur
4. Stage
.....

Or is it btter to train only one specialisation?

better to train stage until a reasonable goal.
then going on puncheur (puncheur training won´t level up FTR, FTR is random)

Well, it depends how you wanna see you rider progressing, because if you should go only with one specialization, he will become too overpowered soon in that aspects, at least to my liking. Wink

So i train my stage racer also in sprints and barodeur, just to "slow" his development a bit and make him more all around.

Iirc,I went with:
1. Stage races
2. Puncheur
3. Barodeur
4. Sprints
5.Stage races
6.Climber

But big problem for me now are other overpowered youngsters in the database, can someone explain to me what to do with mentioned Kentaurus file and where to get that, for next careers? Thanks

If you sign contract with a development team, like Etixx-QuickSteps development tema(AWT Greenway?) Is it then easyer to get a contract offer from QuickStep?...

Avin Wargunnson
I was riding for AWT in my first year and i did not get an offer from Etixx-Quickstep. But also not from any other WT team, so maybe for a third year i would also had Etixx offer. But it does not seem connected this way you ask for...

I don't think so. I was with BMC development team and then BMC wasn't interested, even though I had by far the best results in the U23 and N.Cup scene.

You can install the Kentaurus download in the folder XML. Find the download here

Hi!
I started a new save and in this save my pro's race level (that level that unlocks new races) is stuck at level 2. Does anybody know what I need to reach level 3? Not sure if this is a bug or not. On my previous save I reached level 4 quite easily.

Thanks!
