I have now played my first season with 19-year-old Dane Jonathan Kofod.
I got 15 victories, among them was:

Cyanide Cup 1
Course de la Paix - stage 2 and 3 + overall
Valle Aosta Mt. Bland - stage 2, 3, 5 and 6 + overall
Tour de l'Avinir - stage 5, 6, 7 and 8 + overall

My team was TREFOR-BlueWater, but now I move to CULT. Will be exciting.

How do you guys make a good training program for grand tour? Im about to start my first soon with Giro d'Italia. And I can get good fitness but then I get very poor freshness. And if I decrease training then I still get bad freshness...

Do a 2 or 3 hard weeks, then 1 rest week before the Giro start. Then you in good shape, and well rested.

OPQS93
The freshness still goes straight down...Maybe its better to go for Vuelta? Since maybe I have had to hard start of the season since I needed good races early to get possibility to race grand tour?..

If you rest the week before Romandie, and the week between Romandie and Giro. Then i think you will be ind ok shape, and still fresh. Then you can race you into shape in the first week in the Giro.

Freshness goes straight down on the graph during stage races but it doesn't actually go down that quickly when you do the races, as far as I can tell.

This mode stops being fun when you're injured for the part of the season you've targetted. I know it's realistic, but it makes for crap gameplay.

This is the best I can get it to that way.

So I have a feeling its better to have a more easy summer then go fo the Vuelta...

Tiredness under 50% means 0% Tiredness (experienced myself)
If you have like 20% freshness before the tour, you will get 100% at the start automaticly.

that's why i just go on 100% intensity until 100% form before the Tour and then i get a nice 100% freshness and form. and only have like 10% tiredness (depending on your behaviour before the tour)

Anyone else having trouble keeping their yellow bar filled whilst in the peleton on the flat?

Ah you should be fine then, normally.
Make sure you're out of the wind, not at the front of the peloton the whole time Wink

what do you mean?
If you're asking "what happens if I make more money" then I think the answer is nothing Pfft. So don't chose your teams based on the wage. It's just for prestige\realism.

I stay at the front, no problem.

If you lower the effort a bit on 'maintain position' your rider won't consume any of the yellow bar. He might fall back down in the peleton, but he'll slowly make his way back up without losing energy.

If you keep it at 70 then he might spend energy if the tempo goes up or breakaways are being reeled in.

I basically keep it at 55% for the first half of a race, then increase to 63 (which seem to be where the yellow bar still is safe), then I go above that and increase it from there if it's important that I stay in front (to avoid being at the wrong end of a split).

Maybe you should be able to spend the money you earn on equipment and training camps.

Remember this is its first year all these suggestions will hopefully be used for next year

Just got my first win. Took the mountain classification in a 3 day tour of Flanders. Was surprised that the AI let me ride away on the final stage to take the mountain points despite leading in the competition. I guess they had other plans.

Also, is there anywhere you can see how much XP you need for the next level?
