When I take the coordinates from a GPX file I only get the terrain data, no waypoints. How should i get these waypoints then?

The method I use is: first building the race on a GPS routing program online (there are plenty of them: BikeRouteToaster.com, Tracks4Bikers.com, Openrunner.com. I use T4B), then downloading a GPX file from those webpages and taking it into the editor and putting the race's coordinates into the map, in the same area that you'd upload your BMP file to draw it.
This way, you already have:
1) the orographical data;
2) the "waypoints" you can take as a reference to build your road network, and then the checkpoints.
I've got the same problem. It seems as if the editor doesn't load the gpx, or doesn't recognize the longitudes and latitudes, resulting in the same generic map all the time

Working now. Think it was because I named the file using the letter 'Ã…'

Where do you download the GPX? I make the route in openrunner or bikroutetoaster all the time, and no problems loading the GPX.

Tried bikeroutetoaster and tacks4bikers, but like I said it was most likely the 'Ã…' that meant it couldn't be loaded

What browser do you use? With firefox there are no problems. But with Opera you cannot download .gpx for no reason at all. You always download a wrong format then.
That`s why I use Firefox just fore bikeroutetoaster.

You can just change the extension from xml to gpx. GPX is based on xml.

when i click check stage it says that there is no start, finish, and route. I know this question was already asked but could someone explain how you create those?
and when you make a stage can you use it it you create a race?

Go into the route window on the top and choose sprint. On the right you can add all of your points in the 3D-Window.
Of course you can create your own stage. You can name it however you want, but you have to link it with the Converter to play it ingame.
If you just want to test it, make a backup of both files of an existing race file in CM_Stages and overwrite the original with the 2 exported files. Then you can start this race but open the profile of yours -.-

Now, I'm almost done with my first stage, but I've got a couple of questions
1. Is it possible to rotate the camera in 3D View? I would think so, but I haven't figured it out though.
2. This might be related, but how do you rotate monuments or the podium?
Edit: #2 already answered. Another question though: How do you get white lines on the roads?

I think I found the problem It don't depend of the site but of the folder. I have 3 hard drives on my computer and I only works if the gpx is on the same hard drive that the game

There needs to be a couple of kilometers of road before the start. (Maybe route too, I think). Should be the solution

Anyone knows the meaning of "Not enough distance between two ways on a section (<20km)" ?
It appears as an error, if you create a circuit in the end.
How did you solve this?

You have to create your circuit and the road that goes out of the circuit with different roads. It also helps if you use at least 2 roads for the circuit, too.
