Sorry I've been asking soo many questions lately, but maybe this will be my last one for a few days. (Dont get your hopes up)
Is it possile to look at the profile of your newly made before putting it in the game? And not the Profile View in the Editor I mean something that looks like this:
Or do I have to swap it out for a stage and then swap it back once I'm done getting screenies of the profile?

You can only get that kind of profile by loading your stage in the game.

Darn I was hoping I wouldn't get that answer. But thanks anyway.

Hi,
i've been trying to import a road+water network from one map to another, but the problem is that the new map covers a lot bigger area, and the editor puts the road network into the bottom left corner of it, not where it should be.
i've looked at the xml file containing the data, and it does contain the langitude/longitude data of the road network, yet the editor only seems to read the X,Y,Z positions of the roadpoints.
am i missing something, and is there a way to import the road network to a bigger map than the original properly?

another thing: i've asked about the import stuff because i'm working on a variant for the tour de romandie, and i came to the conclusion that the best way to do it would be to create a road/city/water etc. network for the whole region, since it's a relatively small region, and this way i could make a number of variants and historical courses rather easily.
now my concern is that it might slow down the game quite a bit to load the whole region for every stage. does anyone have experience with creating/playing/loading stages based on a big map with extensive road networks and how much does it affect the loading time and in-game memory usage?

How exactly would I make a criterium?
I've tried making the 1km route that is required for the stage I am trying to create and then I have added road as another intersection for the 2km's of extra road on each side. But I still can't get the correct result. I think I can get the route to work and get the correct number of laps but when I try to add a start and finish line it is impossible to add.

im seeing lots of variants for the grand tours here, but how abt other great stage races as tirreno adriatico, paris nice, vuelta pais vasco, volta catalunya, tour de romandie etc...
maybe i just missed it, but it would be awesome to have variants for them too. so are some of you stage makers on it?

on the french community forum you can find a variant for the tirreno, one for the paris-nice and one for the crit.dauphine
for the others i don't think anyone is on it.

This might be a very stupid and "lazy" question. But i was wondering if it's made .dem files for the west side of Norway? Bergen-Voss area?

First of all. Why don't people test them selves, instead of asking those questions all the time?
Second. No it's not.

I don't know if this is available on the release version but you can try CTRL+I on the editor to get some infos on the stage and on the top-left corner you will have the memory consumption of the stage, which would be more or less the same in game (depending on the graphic settings ofc)
To be safe, I would recommend you not to go over the 1.2Gb in memory in the editor (and that will already be painful long to load in game)

You dont need to fill those infos manually anymore. They are automatically calculated on the stage editor, however, the downside to this system is that the level design (the stage making) becomes even more important because if you don't pay attention while creating the stage you might not get the type of relief that you expect. Beware of little bumps of more than 10-12% which are very common mistakes by beginners (and I'm telling you this from my own experience)

Thx for the info...
I've created a stage (first real try) and i'm glad with the profile. But one problem: does the stage-type affect the way early escapers (sorry for bad english) can success? Or are there any other mistakes beginners like me cand do, that leads to a point, that early escapers win the stage (tested it 3 times, always with escapers win, always about 1 minute before peloton). Or is it just the game AI itself?

Because i don't know how to do that, whats your problem? Why can't you just write "No"?
If i did know how to check it out myself, i wouldn't ask a question on the forum.
