@Frigopie: for cobbled/unpaved roads (Road_06_A-Road_07_A-Road_08_A), is necesary do it without intersections to show right in game.
I hope it was the answer for you question.
Deactivate Spline and choose waypoint for waypoint and directly under spline you see road_03_A for example. Just choose one of the roads shown above and in 3D mode you see immediatelly the different. You have to do this for every waypoint you want to have cobbles.
If you activate Spline, the whole road up to the next crossing will be cobbled.

trying to work on some american races, currently attempting Leadville 100. I have the road made but my map in 3d view still appears white. I have the new terrain data pack but when creating a new file I dont have a choice of America, specifically colorado so i chose alps. Also i can make a city lay out but when i try to make a lake the game crashes after i place the first point. help pls!

There is no region Colorado. This have nothing to do with the created region. It´s just for the city set I guess.
If the game doesn`t crash after loading your American gpx route, then you have .dem files for this area.
If the 3D window is completely white, just save and load again. This worked for me.

Hello
i tried to sharpen my skills in the Stageeditor, by making a fantasy route "Around the Lake of Konstanz" using "Tracks4biker"
I made a route with the site and also made a route for the race, but in the Stageeditor the track is not to be seen and the greatest problem, the lake is missing, did i anything wrong? The heightprofil is ok and seems to be rght.
-------
Ah, see, maybe i should read the tutorial, before asking unnecessary questions, i used the tutorial and could make a course from Konstanz to Lindau, now i just have to edit the lake, but stagemaker crashes if i want to do so

You have to create your circuit and the road that goes out of the circuit with different roads. It also helps if you use at least 2 roads for the circuit, too.
can you clarify this a bit? not sure what you mean by 2 roads, overlapping raods? side by side roads?

Easiest example is a circuit like a P.
There is a round circuit circuit and an entree or exit.
Just create the round circuit with as many roads as you want. So the roads could look like () or like #.
Then you create a new road and lead it into one waypoint of the circuit. It`s important that this road is just in this single point of the circuit. Otherwise there will be some problems with the direction.
Sorry for my P,(),#, but I was too "lazy" to open the editor to make screenshots. Hope you also get it that way, otherwise you have to say, then I create some.

my problem is im trying to make an out and back course, so a P isnt very fitting, The course is 80k out 80k back and the turn around is on the same road. Should i just create a loop on the end thats 20km long?

An extra 20km loop is an option, but loses realism - it may just be better to build a 2nd road alongside the 1st - and so if you head out on Road 1, you head back on Road 2.

Yep, Montolivo, it's possible.
The best way to do that would be:
- create route in google earth (save as .kml)
- open bikemap.net
- create route
- import gpx/kml files
- choose the Google Earth one
- accept
- save route as .gpx
- open in stage editor

I have a problem with the Stage Editor. I have plenty stages in gpx format made in Tracks4bikers or Openrunner but I can't import anyone into the Editor. I click "Read bounds from GPX/KML file" and choose the stage but when the Editor opens, there´s no route and always appear the same landscape (green flat with some hills).
All the stages are in Spain so it couldn't be a problem of DEM files.

After loading your gpx file you have to go into top view.
The first window on the right has a button load kml/gpx. You have to load your route again. Then there is a route in the top view window. So put a road on it and change for further editing into 3D-Mode.
Most maps look very similar, so this is probably your case. You have no route in 3D-Mode.
