Now my question, i've made a stage, tested it once worked fine. Tested it again and the loading screen gets stuck of the "River Geometries" section

You don`t install a patch without beeing asked So this isn`t the problem. Just save a lot.

It´s absolutely impossible to build cities now, so saving will not salve anything because i never reach a point anymore where I should save. Yesterday anything was fine, now it´s totaly screwed.

how do you change the camera view?

Next Question: i cant get my profile to show up. i have made a round with checkpoints and im trying to set a start and sprint etc but it says impossible to add. I know you gotta be 2km etc etc... but im clicking everywhere on the road and it will not add it!

Spent some time playing around and solved my problem. Im using the 2 manuals mentioned in this thread, maybe we should sticky them in another thread for new people?

Im having trouble with the biketoaster thing. I map my course no worries but when i try to import to the editor it brings up an error about c+++ and crashes. i notice that it has a negative latitude or longitude would that cause a problem?
I downloaded it as a gpx file, and its attached here if anyone wants to have a crack.

Where is your route? If it's outside Europe, the game doesn't have the .dem files for it, making the gpx file useless

oh, it is outside europe, i read about the dem files but didnt realise they were related to the gpx.

My stage editor works again, guess my computer had an offay or something.
I need help to make a TTT. I have made the Montpellier TTT stage from the 09 tour, but when i add it to the game it doesn´t work, the game exits when it´s about to load the stage. The numbers I´ve added in the editor should be right i have looked at all the other TTT´s in the game to check if I´ve done something wrong. I´ve tried to add the stage in two ways, first I tried to add it as a single classic race (just to chech the stage) then i added it instead of the TTT in the Giro, So I guess it´s something with the stage. Any help to get?

how do you get the google maps to show in the editor as seen in a screenshot posted here? Also how do you change the view so you can see all 3 screens (profile, 3d and top) in one

I'm having trouble recreating the Alpe D'Huez, I've imported the bit map into the editor and it was all lined up and everything, followed the route as closely as I can with all the switchbacks and the overlapping road problem not letting me get all of them, but I continually get 20 plus "bad route slope." anyone have any tips to avoid this?

dwayo can you outline the exact steps you took to import the bitmap, and even get it for that matter as i would like to have a go at alpe d'huez.

alright, chances are it's completely wrong, but here it is (it's very long)

1. open https://www.openst...rg/export/ and use the manually select different area option to select an area you want.

2. open the stage editor, type in the coordinates shown on the https://www.openst...rg/export/ website. then, and this is where i think im going wrong, i change whichever coordinate is fixed in the stage editor over to the streep map coordinates, because apparently it makes a square which is need for the editor, then i press tab and it adjusts it.

3. i print screen the https://www.openst...g/export/# image, then paste it in paint.net, and use the crop tool to just select the highlighted bit of the map, then paste it in a new window, and save it in 24 bitmap format.

4. then i go into top view and import the file, which usually leaves me with part of the top view with a black border, then i just play around with the coordinates in the contextual panel to try line it up, which i haven't been able to do so far.



but can anyone tell me how to create stages that follow the exact route, do you all use the gpx/kml file instead? someone please help me out, I really want to start making proper stages.

i have managed to import the gpx of the alpe d'heuz from bikeroadtoaster.com
it gave me the exact terrain of it but of course i had no image to trace roads with.
will have a go tonight and let you know.

Well, I only have 1.0.1.8 - so it cant be just an issue with the patches after that

I didn't have that problem before installing the new patches.

nooby question how do you add start and finnish line plus sprints / mountain clim sprints
i add the route checkpoints in but when i check stage it says no start /finnish line
