Our end of year exams are 4 or so weeks and exams can vary between what days they are on. Could have 3in 2 days and none for the ext three. A fixed timetable per subject for Yr 11, 12 and 13.

Still a bit young, but I have four options if Football doesn't work out for me Smile

Sport Science
Law
Medicine
Journalism

Not too keen on medicine, as I don't really like having people's lives in my hands. Law takes a while and doesn't get you many friends, but being in the Top 5% in my state I'm obliged to at least consider it. Thinking of doubling in Sport Science and (Sport) Journalism.

Law is impopular in Australia? It's in the top-3 most popular studies here at universities, I believe.

I never said it was unpopular, but you need great marks and long time study to even get in a course. What I meant by not many friends is arguing against people. Plus, it doesn't allow you to have much of a social life.

I don't know the situation in your country ( don't even know where you're from), but here in Belgium, almost 8 out of 10 sport journalism students don't find a job within that sector. That's one of the reasons I decided to start Tourism studies.

Only mentioning it though Pfft

We don't have a classic "exams" in Serbia, like you do in rest of the world, guys. We don't have defined time, neither defined subject of examination, so we have to be ready basically all over the year. Most of these examinations are oral ones and there are small amount of subjects with only tests (Maths, Chemistry and that's it, as far as I know).

It's the end of the year and it usually means examination period, as the marks (notes) for the end has to be given. I am not studying at all, to be honest, but I am trying to follow on lessons and it's still going pretty good (not sure how long will it last, as the studying material is constantly accumulating).

The marks/notes system is pretty simple here. You have marks from 1 to 5 and that's it. 5 is the best, while 1 is the worst one. As "average mark" is what counts at the end (all marks divided by 16 - number of subjects), I am still pretty good with 3.9 out of possible 5.0. I was excellent (4.5> ) for more than 9 years (8 years in primary school and first one in high) and it's the first time to pass as "very good", but I am not complaining.

I am planning to finish with 4.0 at the end of the year. If I keep it until the end of high school (2 years left without counting current one) I'll be able to enter whatever university I want. I am planning to go something connected to programming or something similar, as that attracts me the most currently. Smile

I am at college (up to 18yrs of age) and we can only do Economics and Accounting in terms of business and finance. After college is uni where there are quite a few different financial and business related options you can study. Most of which require some sort of highish level maths as well as good results for Eco and Accounting, the better the results the better the chance of getting in.

I'm one level below uni (HBO in Dutch) (20 years old, can enter this when you're 17...) (My teachers keep bitching I should do 2 studies or go to uni...) and from what I've heard there is a very entertaining study (Econometrics) which combines Business Economics and Business Maths (Study I tried last year...), and that requires quite a bit of math knowledge...

Other than that there are some other similar studies, either 1 year (to specialice yourself in a field of business economics or accounting) or full studies, most with a large emphasize on economics, which law and math being secondary subjects.

How many school days do you have in Europe? We have 175 in America (well, at least in Maine).

So, being super concerned about this kind of stuff, how good is a 2310 on the PSAT? My SAT scores are back next week, and I'm dreading them. Frown
