I guess many of us are going to school, so it would be nice to have a thread were you can update on how school's going, exams, teachers, etc, and also get help with homework

Well, in a way you can... Just finish your final year and enjoy the lazy life of a college student...
Spoiler My escape plan was to study for 1 week for my Leaving Cert (same as finals, A-Levels or what ever you want to call it) and then sit back, get into college and have a 4 year long holiday... College in Ireland is just that!

To the contrary, I find our high school work (especially math) way too easy.

You shouldn't come to Romania then. In high school we study most of the math that normally should be studied in university/college.

Been to school 2 weeks now, and already messed up a math test, which was all about stuff I should've learned in the past 5 years, oops...

Great! Just got a 7.7/10 for my maths quiz. It's my worst subject so I'm really happy. Next week is quite busy. A latin test, Economics test, Greek test and a Dutch test. And a documentary report for English.

To be fair studying history is more likely to make you an employee of Burger King.
And that's speaking as someone with a degree in Ancient History

I said goodbye to my class on Wednesday, I'm fed up with learning exactly the same, boring, theoretical stuff as in secondary school. I recently learned that another school nearby still had a electronics course that wasn't full yet.. Went there yesterday, left my papers at the front desk, and went straight to my new class... It was a little awkward to come there and say "hi, I'm your new student"
I'm now looking forward to 1 week of vacation, and then a lot less homework, nicer teachers (in high school they're all old, strict and boring, while here they are joking with students, easy-going, and you always get a 5/6 if you just finalise what you're doing), and two years in school then an apprenticeship
My goal is now to become an aircraft engineer, so in 4 years I'll be making just below 100,000$ a year
