I would have called him time trialist if I wanted him to be one. In fact, I'd rather get rid of some TT/PR stats to keep the FL. I know it seems very unfair that everyone had to stick to the rules and now I come and complain and wanna change everything
Still, I think the system isn't really balanced itself, as I already explained. I mean, we have certainly overpowered climbers and stage racers, but if you gonna try making a mediocre Tony Martin (of coures that's not what I was gonna do ), than you're screwed
Not really, for TT guys, they only have one primary stat, TT, and 2 secondary Prl and maybe Flat.
This is pretty much the same for everyone. Cobblers want endurance and flat, maybe even sprint/hill too.
Sprinters need acceleration and flat, maybe endurance and hill
Climbers need acceleration and hill, maybe TT and flat/dh
Stage Racers need, well the same as climbers but more TT/PRL and less Acc
Punchers need acceleration and endurance and maybe mountain/flat (as I well know).
In reality TT guys are lucky, as they could have all the other flats at 60 and still be really good (unlike in say... A puncher )
Your problem is you have stats like Acc at 70, which is fair enough, but high sprint and acceleration don't even fit with a TT guy, as they are pretty much polar opposites. You are also high in back up stats, which is a bit odd, as you have almost as much stamina as TT.
Then scrap some points elsewhere, it's possible to save 10 points here and there by just tuning it down a bit. Had to do the same, like everybody else probably.
I get your drift though; people made riders with high mountain/hill/sprint stats at the expense of stuff they don't need; for example, prologue, time trial, cobblestone or fighter. I had to do the same with Calzone (CBS stat) because frankly, he would have got owned even more in sprints as it's already.
But if you want to make a natural, normal rider, or a more complete rider, an allrounder or just a guy who isn't completely specialized like your russian powerhouse, the point system is quite limited. It favors quite absolute specialists and primary stat combinations, whilst allrounders and more domestique'd riders are a bit left out. No blame to Ollfardh of course, EPIC was still in its baby shoes back then, just like the system itself.
Stat-wise, when it comes to the EPIC custom riders, it's a huuuge headache looking at some of those youngsters, so best I don't think about it too much.

You ae not screwed.Po-Ding for example.

Huh? TT guys would be only useful in a handful of races per year, according to your stat distribution of focuing on TT and Prologue only. They'd have to race a couple of stage races just for a handful of TT kilometers. Granted, they may win a race or two in the first season, but at the cost of complete uselessness in everything else.
Besides that, Silvio doesn't want to make a TT guy though, he wants a powerhouse, much like Spartacus. That means he needs to invest stats almost everywhere. I had the same dealings with Löwenherz. Can't have it all unfortunately, which is good, but like I said, if he cuts back on some stats, his desired rider is well within reach. And he will have a fairly balanced, good rider, whom I enjoy cheering for.

Not sure what you meant to say but Po-Ding is so good because he has 55 in CBS and Fighter sigh. Nothing like what Silvio aims for with his guy.

Please don't bring up the failure of this ludicrous Frankenstein experiment named Cervero as counter-evidence. Seeing as how you managed to make him 80 in two stats, shows what's wrong. If he wasn't such a joke in PCM, he'd be an insult to this management game.
Shonak, what I was trying to argue with, is that the system made by Ollfardh does not make it impossible to create a good TT guy, in fact, a good TT guy is the easiest thing to make. He said that it is harder to make a Tony Martin type rider, than a climber, when this is not true. I was not saying TT guys are more useful, or have more opportunities to win, I was saying that it is easier to make a good TT guy, as they have less key stats.
You're second point was the point I made basically, which is that this is not a TT guy, so he isn't much like Tony Martin, he is really a fighter, which I will agree is quite hard to make, but I was arguing what he said, which was talking about TTists.
What I said about Cervero was a joke, but what you said is ridiculous. The Cervero you see now was designed in about 5 seconds, after the first Cervero, was rejected after rule changes which only came in after I made him. Technically he was only made to see if I understood the rules. I tried to remake him but I wasn't allowed too. This was sort of the reason he is so strange, and why he has 80 stamina. I was going to give him extra flat and acceleration, but I was still working things out, and dumped the spare points on Stamina, which is a pretty useless stat. That is one of the problems, because I wasted about 20 points there, as don' forget, I had just got PCM when I made him, so I didn't know mountain effected hilly races, I didn't know that acceleration worked in PCM13, and I didn't even know what stamina and recovery really did. I am annoyed that you can claim my rider is an insult. Don't forget he was the first rider to be made, and in the second batch of confirmed people. Also, I didn't really design him. The first model was literally a copy of a rider generated in PCM, and the second one was just a similar version with tonnes of points dumped on stamina. Also, he's not OP! Plenty of other riders have the same hill stat, no one jumps on them, when they have better riders. I made a fun rider, who was a bit strange, and people like you seem to think I am manipulating the system, when I have one of the least successful riders in the game of my age. No one blames Brouwer or Kim for manipulating the system, when they did a lot better job of it. If you look at people like Guido or Hinault, they are the very essence of manipulating the system, if you look at Cervero, he is the opposite. Even PCM thinks he is the 4th best rider at FDJ, and they aren't exactly a team of superstars. Calzone is better, Brouwer is better, Oget is better, McDermott is better, Hanzen is better, Sithembile is better, Kim and Khamphan are better, and all this is just PCM, which famously over rates riders like Cervero. I didn't make Cervero trying to get results, or beat the system, I made him to have fun, and I think it is stupid people pick on that, instead of those who make stupid back stories, or don't put in any effort, or who claim to be active but never tell their riders anything.
@Hobbit: When I said a Tony Martin guy, I didn't mean a pure time trialist. I was even thinking about 70 TT/PR, because it should have been a strong rouler and all-round guy (a bit like Martin,as I said, but without the focus on TT). It is hard to do so, while you are right, one could make a strong time trialist. if you don't really care about realism, you can even give him a low flat. However, that was not what I was trying to do.
But when we both agree, that he's not a time trialist, but an allrounder, than we are good
Calm down, please, everybody likes Cervero, don't we? No, seriously, I think Cervero is no problem as he doesn't really deliver. I am more annoyed of unbalanced riders taking all the results (like my own De Vries, by the way )
We all like Shonak, we all like Cervero, let's be friends again
I know my system wasn't perfect, but it was at the start and it wouldn't be fair to change it for new people. But all in all, I think I'm relatively happy with it, though I will continue to try to balance things with the updates.

Ok, I'll reduce the points as soon as I decided which its gonna be
EDIT: Done. Both riders are free to be signed.
By the way, does anybody have an idea of an underrepresented EPIC rider type? Rouler and Fighter were two that I found being there too less, but I'm kinda lacking a third one. And I surely don't want just another climber or cobbler

Dead, You tell me, Communist, Erm... aren't used often
Unfortunately, I'll be on holiday for the next two weeks with no access to my calculation file. I won't be able to approve riders, but I think Shonak has a fine to check it as well. If he finds the time to check the new riders, that's fine for me
