EPIC - Custom Riders - applications closed
JoeArmstrong13
Diego Johnson's management would like to announce that he has signed to ride for Team Astana for the remainder of the season. He told us, I think that the atmosphere of the team, suits me and will help me to develop as a bike racer. I am very much looking forward to ride with the quality of riders on the team, and hope that I can learn from my experiences in the team.

These are open again, you won't be able to race until next season though.

why do the riders need to come to a team for a contract and not the realistic way, where the teams go to the riders Rolling Eyes looking at you Colombia and Champion System

Ok, for those who want to replace one or several riders, you can use the age your old rider owuld have had. So if you want to replace an 18 year old, you can make the new guy 18 or 19 next season.

Sorry if you feel insulted, that was not what I meant to do. I would really like to go for interesting riders myself, but I don't have any kind of list of future free riders. However, there is still plenty of time, and I will probably have a look on all the inactive team's rosters. Just in case some rider thought like "Man, that is a good team, I would really like to ride for them, but they are surely not gonna ask me about it." Then they are granted the ability to go for it themselves. Wink

we had that in the first season part that teams just said, "if you want to ride here, contact us, we won't contact you" disquised in a cleaverly written story. just wanted to make clear that that shouldn't happen here.

No, he meant it the other way around. In his (and my) opinion, the teams should contact the riders they want, just as in real life. He was fearing that the teams only said "contact us", so the custom riders had to contact the teams. Wink

See that pic. Well that about sums me, Špiro Milošević, up after my stint at the two-bit joint which is IAM cycling. I guess you know by now that I am leaving IAM cycling and I feel great about it, yes siree!

I haven't had many chances at IAM of doing, well, anything. So the second I broke off the shackles I went back to Croatia and was fortunate enough to get signed by Podravka - Radio Rijeka and was then able to compete in five domestic races before I would try my luck at the national championships.

Zagreb - Osiljek 211KM

( A flattish stage where normally I would have fancied my chances. Alas, I was a bit rusty and on a bad day and couldn't match the other fast guys, I didn't contest the sprint.)

(Man, it sure felt good to win again! Nagy put me in the perfect position and I gave it everything. The coach said I didn't need to, but I wanted that win. I had to be sure.)

Pakrac - Krapina 129 KM

(Good lord, it certainly ain't all flat in Croatia! I climbed off the bike, I didn't feel I could tackle the final mountain of the stage. I was, though, pleased with Vladimir taking the scalp of some big, yet disgraced, names.)

(Just a few days after climbing off the bike, I tasted victory once again. I just edged it ahead of my old rival, Dragutin, in one real humdinger of a finish!)

(In my final race I was acting as lead-out for Nagy, I felt obliged to return the favour. On reflection it was good training, If all goes well and a certain Mr Vodkakov lives up to his word then I will be doing a lot more leading out next season. Attila, sadly, didn't have the top speed to match the Serbians on this day.)

Well, folks, that sums up my racing recently after leaving IAM. Speaking of which I am available for any team to come and speak to me. However, I have received what might just be the best offer for this guy but you never know. If you are interested in little 'ol me then send some mail before 18:00 tomorrow.

How did I get on at the national champs? Well find out when I post tomorrow along with which team I will sign for next season.

I never thought you could have a rider blog without a team, but you are definetely proving me wrong *thumbs up*

Are you going to make any custom riders Silvio? It would be nice to get a few replacements for the mass exodus at the end of the season at least.

I've thought of it of course. But I really don't know how much time I will have from October onwards. I do even fear that I won't really have time to keep the team HQ updated and the team is what is more important to me.

However, I'm still thinking of it, but I fear those guys wouldn't be too active.

But if I'm even asked for it, I think I gonna give it a try Wink

I've chosen to create three custom riders in the end and I'm looking forward to next season with them already.
I tried to make these guys relatively real, so I hope they are to everybody's liking.
However, I will post only two of them as I can't find a name for the third one.

Name: Илья (Михайлович) Кузнецов - Ilja (Michailovich) Kusnezov - for those who don't know: Ilja (son of Michail), the Smith
Age: 23
Nationality: Russia
Rider type: Powerhouse
Short Bio: will follow when he's signed

Flat: 77 (33)
Hill: 68 (13)
Mnt: 64 (9)
TT: 75 (25)
Prol: 74 (23)
Cob: 58 (3)
Spr: 64 (9)
Acc: 66 (11)
Desc: 69 (14)
End: 72 (19)
Res: 69 (14)
Fight: 71 (17)
Rec: 70 (15)
Total: 205

Aaaand the second one:

Name: Husani Mashaba
Age: 18
Nationality: South African
Rider type: Fighter with allround abilities
Short Bio: will follow when he's signed

Flat: 71 (17)
Hill: 67 (12)
Mnt: 65 (10)

No, you still need to follow the age rules, otherwise I would have no 18 year olds next year Smile

And Res is 65 minimum cause it desn't work on PCM13.

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Silvio Herklotz
Changed that. What about the too much points Ilja?

Wait, did I understand it right that I have to spend 10 points on RES? Or does RES just start at 65 without spending any points?

You can lower Flat since Time Trialists actually don't need Flat stat that much. I think kentaurus or lluuiiggii said something along those lines. Smile

So if you lower it to 75 and save one point in Descent and reduce Resistance to normal 65 (you spend those points), than all's fine with the points.

But points are hard earned in the game as you know, and not sure if it's fair to just allow higher points scaling for a later entry.

Either way, liking both riders. Really balanced, which is always to my liking with no 55 stats. Smile
