Double Down with a full +1 Acceleration, plus unlock Acceleration with my pending stat unlock.
If that means Acceleration can be trained again from now on, I'll take as well the regular +8 for Acceleration, else it'll be +8 Positioning.

@DavidCorperial: Composure is locked.
Correction: I'd rather use the full +1 for Pace instead of Acceleration, so that stat lock doesn't really hurt that much anymore. The rest stands as above.
Another year older. Grace and I celebrated my 25th birthday the only way we could think how: a bike ride around the coast of my hometown, Canvey Island.
I don't get to spend a lot of time here anymore. But it brings back a lot of fond memories every time I come to visit. My mom still lives here, by herself now that my younger sister Alison has moved out to live in the city. A big girl now.
Mom is proud of us. I know in my heart that dad is as well. I know I don't talk about him a lot, but I miss him so much. We all do. But, life goes on and we keep pushing on in his memory. That's what he would have wanted.
And not something I have forgotten now that I'm one of cycling's rising stars.
Taking the next step from being "the next big thing" to a full-fledged superstar hasn't been easy. But, I feel like I'm on the cusp of greatness. Winning the Tour de France green jersey was just the start of more memorable moments to come.
Grace, soon to be the newest member of our family, wants that too — closing out her season with a bang. She finished 5th overall in the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey. Proud of her, and more great things to come for both of us!

*Diamond is currently on holiday, so no training ride*
Support (Resolved): Marcus Diamond took a pay cut and the funds were used to sign Demi Vollering for the upcoming season.
Not Getting Any Younger: Marcus Diamond will receive a stat lock as a birthday present for turning 25 years old. The remaining unlocked stats have been randomly number 1-6. Pick one number between 1-6 as the stat you would like to save. Stat with the fewest votes will be locked.
But honestly, that TdF performance, plus Olympic bronze medal, should definitely have been worth a stat unlock... Let's hope turning 25 won't be a major issue in Marcus' career
With the cycling season in the offseason, I've been feeling more pressure than usual from outside opinions that I should quit football and focus on riding my bike.
I just laugh at them. From the very beginning, my goal has always been to prove I could be a successful two-sport professional athlete. I feel like I'm doing that. I started off as a better footballer, shining at the 2022 World Cup, and now I'm making my mark on the road: winning the Tour de France green jersey.
My football career is on the cusp of taking off again. This recent transfer to Fulham has been a major blessing. I'm getting regular starts and the team has a realistic shot to promote into the Premier League. Life is pretty good right now.
Match Day #21 at Blackburn Rovers (8-7-5, 29 Points, 9th)
December 7, 2024
Our road record isn't great at 3-3-2 so far this season.
Spoiler
Fulham 1, Blackburn Rovers 1
Summary: Timmy Abraham rescues a draw for Fulham with his 14th league goal in the 65th minute, but the physical affair sees Fulham loses three key players to injuries.
Striker Simon Wolfenden went down first after taking an elbow to the face in the 24th minute — out 3-4 weeks with a fractured cheekbone. His replacement, Greg Cross, lasted four minutes before he was carried off with a twisted ankle — out 2-4 weeks. Then, in the final minutes of the game Fulham's captain goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli broke his wrist making a save — out 5-8 weeks.
Time for the younger players to step up or starting looking at possible upgrades when the transfer window opens at the end of the month.
Rating: 7.0 - Blackburn played dirty. We will remember today.
Player of Game: Thierry Abrose, Blackburn Rovers (8.0)
Match Day #22 vs. Ipswich Town (11-7-3, 36 Points, 6th)
December 14, 2024
Bitten by the injury bug, lots of new faces on the pitch and the bench.
Spoiler
Fulham 5, Ipswich Town 2
Summary: Fulham goes down twice (0-1 & 1-2) on goals by Daishawn Redan. But Aboubakar Kamara answered each time. Tied at 2-2 in the 84th minute, 23-year-old substitute striker Sonny Hilton scored on his first league appearance this season. He scored another insurance goal in the 91st minute after Abraham broke away for his league-leading 15th goal of the season to go with two assists in the contest.
Rating: 6.8 - Not a good game by my standards, but great to the see the team fight in this one. Big chemistry builder.
Player of Game: Timmy Abraham, Fulham (9.1)
Match Day #23 at Barnsley (6-9-7, 25 Points, 15th)
December 21, 2024
Looking for revenge after losing to Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.
Spoiler
Fulham 6, Barnsley 3
Summary: Timmy Abraham is out of his mind! Two goals in the first five minutes gives him 17 goals in 22 league games. Marcus Diamond made it 3-0 on a rebound goal in the 21st minute. Barnsley scored twice before halftime, but one of them was an own goal, and Aboubakar Kamara slotted in another to make it 5-1 Fulham at halftime!
Fulham's often criticized leaky defense allowed two more goals in the second half. But, 18-year-old Aaron Healy buried his second career goal for Fulham, 6-3.
Rating: 7.8 - Fourth goal of the season.
Player of Game: Timmy Abraham, Fulham (9.3)
Match Day #24 at Cardiff City (6-10-7, 25 Points, 20th)
December 26, 2024
Boxing Day clash against a team trying not to relegate.
Spoiler
Fulham 1, Cardiff City 1
Summary: Aboubakar Kamara lets three points slip through his grasp as he pulls a breakaway shot wide in the 87th minute that would have given Fulham a 2-1 lead. Cardiff City escapes with a point.
Rating: 6.7 - We didn't take our chances today, 18 shots and only three on target. Wasn't just me who had an off-night.
Player of Game: Andy Jones, Cardiff City (9.0)
Match Day #25 vs. Millwall (7-13-4, 23 Points, 20th)
December 29, 2024
Quick three-day turnaround for our final game of 2024.
Spoiler
Fulham 6, Millwall 3
Summary: Aboubakar Kamara smash in another penalty shot, his second in consecutive games, to tie Timmy Abraham with 17 league goals in the Golden Boot race. Abraham countered with a powerful finish in the 36th minute, 2-0 Fulham. Russell York, coming back from injury, increased the lead again two minutes later.
York, Abraham and Kamara each scored again in the second half to cancel out Millwall's three goals by Martin Dodd and Bobby Duncan (x2).
Rating: 8.0 - Assisted Abraham's first goal on a through ball up the middle. When our offense is clicking, we are unstoppable. Who needs defense? We have given up the second-most goals in the league (45), but are second in the league standings.
Our 2.84 goals a game average is on pace to break the Sky Bet record for most team goals in a season, set by Middlesbrough with 122 goals almost 100 years ago during the 1926-27 season.
Player of Game: Russell York, Fulham (9.2)

FA Cup Run: The highly-anticipated FA Cup starts next month for Fulham with a Third Round contest against Preston North End. Correctly predicted how far Fulham will go (Third Round, Fourth Round, Fifth Round, Quarterfinal, Semifinal, Final, Champions) to earn a future perk.
The 200th update post of my ongoing career will break down the SEG Racing Academy squad I will ride with in my third straight season in the Pro Tour peloton.
The Captains
Complete 2025 Squad
My Thoughts
We basically bring back the strong core of riders we had last year and add to that. We have more depth this season with riders improving and the addition of a few new talented cyclists. On paper, it looks like a pretty competitive team.
Harry Zuurman is emerging as a viable GC contender with Tomas Hyravy following closely behind. The team also signed Alan Wood, who should provided great support and get some chances of his own.
That same statement could be said about our cutest cyclist, Grace Diamond... I mean Garner, still a few more months before that change is made.
Ide Schelling was also brought in to chase after KoM competitions.
On the hills, 22-year-old prodigy Adrian Kacian has a lot to prove, but has great mentors around him in Cyclocross gold medalist Mathieu van der Poel and Adam Hartley.
The TTT train looks might impressive with the return of former World Champion Stefan Kung, Ryan Mullen and Pavel Sivakov. SEG strengthen this core with the signings of Wood, Ethan Hayter and Kenny Lynch.
Cobbles is me with support from newly signed Demi Vollering. I'll get the freedom to ride in other challenging races as well with my climbing ability. There is also budding sprinter Tebiro Pienaar, who could win flatter cobbled races.
Pienaar has emerged this offseason as a top-class sprinter who is very eager to win his first professional race. His young legs add to a strong sprinter's group with Niklas Markl and Lucy van der Haar (Grace's older sister).
Lucy's husband, Lars van der Haar, joins the team this season as a helper.
And, last but certainly not least, I can't forget to mention my fellow Olympic Omnium medalist Alex Vogel. She is a beast on the flatlands.

Tour de France Defense
Never a doubt that I was going to return to the Tour de France this season to defend my green jersey, win some more stages and improve my 17th overall finish. The route can be seen below: 1 cobbled stage, 2 ITTs (59kms) and 6 stages each that are flat, hilly and mountainous. A very balanced grand tour.
We will finish with a time trial on the Champs-Élysées for only the second time in the Tour's history, the first being the iconic final stage of the 1989 race.
World Cup Pursuit
After two seasons in the Pro Tour and dabbling around the monuments and classics, this will be my first attempt at racing all the World Cup events. The World Cup features 14 races (marked above on my race calendar) with various points rewarded for Top 20 results on each monument/classic. The in-season competition has been held since 2018. Here are the previous winners:

Open a new calendar, it's 2025. Wow, that's weird to say. Where does time go?
January, of course, brings forth the winter transfer window. Time for teams to stay put, spend some extra cash or sell to make a profit. Fulham looks to be buyers as we occupy second place in the Sky Bet Championship table.
Match Day #26 vs. Preston North End (5-9-11, 26 Points, 18th)
January 1, 2025
A tune-up game before we meet again in 10 days for a FA Cup contest.
Spoiler
Fulham 6, Preston North End 1
Summary: In his first game back from injury, Greg Cross scores first for Fulham in the 10th minute to open the floodgates. Fulham had five goals by halftime: Cross (2), Timmy Abraham (2) and Aboubakar Kamara. But, Cross re-injured his ankle and will now be out for another 1-2 weeks.
Abraham collected his hat-trick goal off his head in the 88th minute from a perfect cross from Marcus Diamond to cap the score at 6-1. Starting the new year off right.
Rating: 8.5 - Another beatdown to go with assist No. 7 on the season.
Player of Game: Timmy Abraham, Fulham (9.7)
Match Day #27 at Swansea City (11-10-5, 38 Points, 10th)
January 4, 2025
Beat them easily at home, 4-1, earlier in the season.
Spoiler
Fulham 1, Swansea City 1
Summary: Battling the fatigue of playing a third game in seven days, the rain, a raucous sell-out crowd and a red card issued to Stefan Johansen in the 78th minute, Fulham escapes Swansea with a point.
Timmy Abraham's 23rd league goal this season moves him closer to the modern-day record of 30 league goals set by Glenn Murray of Crystal Palace during the 2012-13 season. The all-time record belongs to George Camsell of Middlesbrough with 59 goals during the 1926-27 season.
A few days after the match, Fulham sold starting defender Reece James to Wolves for a profit of 5.75 million. And then spent 1.1 million to purchase Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
Rating: 6.8 - Legs burning, I was subbed off in the 61st minute.
Player of Game: Vashon Neufville, Swansea City (8.4)
FA Cup at Preston North End
January 11, 2025
Third Round: Best Fulham finish was a runner-up placing in 1975.
Spoiler
Fulham 2, Preston North End 1
Summary: After being under siege for the first 25 minutes, Fulham's first shot went in off the head of Sonny Hilton in the 33rd minute. That calmed the nerves down as Fulham went to the locker room back in control of the game up 1-0.
However, 10 minutes into the second half, Jake Ward slipped behind Fulham's lackluster defense to knot the score at 1-1. Fulham had the answer. Marcus Diamond played a ball from his own half that Aboubakar Kamara ran onto and finished to give Fulham the lead back, 2-1.
One moment of brilliance secured Fulham's place into the next round. An unfortunate draw sees Fulham matched up with Premier League's Aston Villa in the Fourth Round, although the home supporters are ecstatic that the match will be played at Craven Cottage on February 1st.
Rating: 7.5 - Kids, keep your heads up. Otherwise you might just miss a golden opportunity to win the game for your team.
Player of Game: Aboubakar Kamara, Fulham (8.3)
Match Day #28 vs. Shef. Wednesday (10-11-6, 36 Points, 12th)
January 18, 2025
The long-awaited returns of Simon Wolfenden and Marcus Bettinelli.
Spoiler
Fulham 3, Sheffield Wednesday 2
Summary: Fulham goes down 1-0 early but doesn't panic. The super duo of Timmy Abraham and Aboubakar Kamara both strike two minutes apart in the 15th and 17th minute, respectively, to put Fulham up 2-1.
A red card to Joshua Hier for a stud-first challenge through the back puts Sheffield Wednesday in a tough situation after 34 minutes. Yet, they respond admirably with a goal off the bottom of the crossbar by Xavier Amaechi in the 65th minute.
Veteran 31-year-old defender David Hovorka wanted that one back. Fulham's newest 1.7 million signing from Sparta Prague gave Amaechi too much room to take the shot from the edge of the box.
But, not all was lost. Fulham regained the lead late on a set piece scramble. Stefan Johansen was at the right place at the right time to roll in the game winner. The celebrate was subdued when Greg Cross went down again with another injury: torn groin muscle, out 4-6 weeks.
Rating: 6.8 - I just feel sorry for Greg. This isn't fair to him.
Player of Game: Robbie Brady, Sheffield Wednesday (9.0)
Match Day #29 at Birmingham City (11-9-8, 41 Points, 9th)
January 25, 2025
Debut of newly transferred veteran CDM Ryan Woods from Norwich.
Spoiler
Birmingham City 3, Fulham 1
Summary: Fulham's 12-game unbeaten streak comes to an end. It's the longest streak the team has had since rattling off 14 straight games without a loss at the end of the 2017-18 season.
Aboubakar Kamara nodded in his 21st league goal in the final minutes to avoid Fulham's third shutout of this season.
Rating: 6.6 - Worst game I've had in a while. Regroup and go again.
Player of Game: Marc Machell, Birmingham City (9.0)
Match Day #30 vs. Crystal Palace (17-8-4, 55 Points, 4th)
January 28, 2025
This league game got moved up to fit in the upcoming FA Cup bout.
Spoiler
Fulham 2, Crystal Palace 0
Summary: Fulham puts a disappointing loss to Birmingham City in the past with a stout 2-0 showing against one of the best teams in the league. Simon Wolfenden scored the opener, his first goal since Nov. 30 when he scored a hat trick. Then, Marcus Diamond picked out Lee Smith for the buffer mark.
After the game, Wolfenden found out he was being transferred to Brighton and Hove Albion. Fulham made a profit of 1.9 million on the sale. At the transfer deadline, Fulham brought in top-flight loan players Callum Wall (Arsenal) and Grant Gillam (Leeds) and purchased Hull City's attacker Callum O'Hare for 1.4 million.
Rating: 8.8 - Bounce back performance for myself and the team.
