He is riding Vuelta only as helper to Basso. Maybe he will aim on mountain jersey or stage win, but no good GC position in the end

Cancellara of course unbeatable, but great job by Mouris!

I recently talked to Jakob, and he told me he was feeling extremely confident, so my bet has gone for him. He's a good guy and I believe in him.

Whether forecast for tomorrow: 50% chance for rain, and moderate winds. Rabobank will find a long straigth road, get all 9 men up front to pull some bordures, and then Gesink will take 5 minutes to all his opponents
Serious now, I do think Rabobank will try some stuff again like they did a few times in the Eneco Tour, and in the march / april classics. They're on home soil, so they have to

Hopefully Saxo Bank will be placed in the front, normally they are extremely competent at taking advantage of the wind, but they got screwed over backwards by Brian Holm and co. in the Tour.

Evans and Basso looked very strong, as did Jakob Fuglsang, seeing as how he is not very good in the time trial. I was very happy to see Fab take the maillot oro too.
I think Fuglsang and Gesink will be the big young surprises at this vuelta.
He's not like Cancellara in time trials, but Fuglsang is better than e.g. the Schleck brothers in the discipline - so, not bad at all.
Will be interesting to see Gesink vs. Fuglsang

Agreed he is definitely better than the Schlecks, and no one is as consistently great as Cancellara in the ITT.
Gesink will definitely be a force in the future. A bit of me worries that the Schlecks will not renew their contracts with Saxo because of how talented Fuglsang will be. I hope that doesn't happen though, because it would be stunning to see the three of them working together for the maillot jaune at the Tour eventually.

Valverde for me all the way, I'm a Valverde fan through and through and I'm standing by my man until proven doped. TT was abit wierd seeing it around a Motorbike track.

Strong ride from Cancellara, I didn't get to see much of the race because I was at work (thank god Universal is streaming it at least). The course looked awesome though, and I think I speak for all the cyclists on the site when I say I would love to take a ride on that track
P.S.: Out of all the idiotic votes in the poll above, I can't decide whether the Danielson vote (probably by Matt) or the Tondo vote is more disgusting...

Basso's best ride against the clock since he came back. Looking good.

Bennati my well take the jersey too.
I think BEnnati rode the Tour as warm-up for the Vuelta.

Too bad Petersen had to be replaced. I was looking forward to see what he could do

is there a live flash thingy for vuelta with gaps and comments, like there was on the TdF official site?
