Evans caught back a lot of time when Boom relayed in the favorites' group (Boom's pace was obviously much much slower), which is why he only lost a minute.
Evans quite simply isn't as strong as the others. He couldn't even hold Sánchez's wheels. And try he did. But Sánchez dropped him. Without even attacking. Evans was on the wheel and simply blew up.
And this was Sánchez....a guy who was dropped by the others.
Anyway, today is the best chance for time gaps. This climb is insane. However it's only 6.6 kms long.

wow... Sammy droped Evans ? How ? Friday's stage was the one when Sammy wasn't quite holding in the favourites group. I mean he was always the last one compared to Gesink, Basso, Piti and Evans (maybe Tom D. also) who were alwasy relaying in the front. It kind of surprises me that nobody atacked on yesterday's stage. But, as you said isso, the climb looks better than the last two. Also, judging that it is the last day of the 3 consecutive mountain stages, it should provide some changes... Hopefully...

It's more than that: I've seen this climb used in Vuelta a few times before. It guarantees splintering the pack.

Why don't they use their famous climb ... *fotgot it's name... angliru, or something like that..neah...* Why did they left it out this year ? As for this one... Wasn't it last used in 2006, when Vino took the Vuelta and Kasheckin won the stage ?

To get back at the neutral car fail; I havn't seen the incident with Evans, nor do I want to defend the neutral service but; keep in mind they work with different material then the teams have - it may not fit right away. Also, team mechanic change wheels in races quite regularly - these neutral mechanics probably not more then once a year.
They are here to help out when the gap is too small for team cars to be right behind. They work slower, but overall it's still better then having to wait. Give a little respect please.

The same reason they didn't use Alp duez *sp this year, wrong part of the country and you want some variation.

But in the end Evans did actually have to wait, the Neutral service spent a minute fiddling with his bike and then only just seemed to be done when the Silence car got there and Evans took a spare bike a couple of seconds after the car got there, and was off.

Well, in one minute one can sure change a wheel - no doubt, or no matter who. So it must have been the materials not fitting together well. Silence rides with X wheels, while the neutrals have Y wheels with them, fitting bike T prefectly but not going well with bike C.
20 teams, 20 different bikes and wheels. You cant expect a 21th wheel so fit all 20 bikes perfectly.

The other problem Cadel is complaining about is the media blocking the road, TV cameras, press photographers etc. all wanting a picutre of the moment, blocking the silence car and the road ahead.
I think Cadel complains a little too much, but it is understandable.
