what is gonna Rabo do next year?..Gesink looks like more and more ready.
i hope that Menchov has accepted that TdF isnt he's race..
Just reminded .. Menchov has in CV... Giro win. Vuelta win (twice)..impressive!

Let Gesink ride the tour perhaps as a co-leader and see what happens. I don't think he can pull off a tour win yet, but he's getting close to being "ready". A rider that may well finally live up to the hype.

my intention was not to imply that a person (or plural) amongst us are assholes, but simply to state the fact that having an opinion doesn't make you special.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Did Cunego get off a decide to walk..... he was with the favourites then next minute he's laughing and joking with gasparotto....
I guess he decided once he was dropped to sit up and ease it off.. which makes sense... considering he's supposed to be building for the worlds... no use killing yourself in a stage where your not going to get anything out of i suppose....
Glad to see Moncoutie win
Ah i see no this was Cunego's 'quiet' day because he wants to do something tomorrow... maybe from a break this time

Gesink is still a level below Andy Schleck, and two levels below Contador. A 3rd place in the Tour, or better a top 5, would be a realistic goal for TdF next year

I fully agree, and i think he can definatly do it, so long as he turns up in good form.

Gesink is looking nice on the podium, and if he can take time from Valverde tomorow he might win, as he is about the same level as Valverde in TT.

If valverde wins it will be great for the Spanish, not so good for the UCI who will facepalm themselves for not getting his ban sorted sooner.

Tomorrow and stage 19 are best chanches against Valverde..last TT is just to short for that..
Situation is not good..Piti has hugh chanches to seal this one now (specialy after Evans unlucky day today)
I believe that Gesink will atack like madman..
Basso is something short after return..he is strong ..opening TT was disaster...he is not decisive when it is needed..etc.(we saw that in Giro already). He still will be out of the podium.

Evans got a 10 second time penalty for hanging on the car too long when he was trying to come back.
Wow. Those Vuelta dudes have some guts to punish Evans this way after their neutral mechanic fucked up
I don't like Evans but this is insane and unfair.

Hopefully tomorrow will be really interesting, and I hope Gesink together with Mosquera will take the opportunity and have the legs to attack, attack and attack once more. Then we will hopefully get a great stage.

The climb tomorow isn't exactly steep, but from 5-3 km to the top it rises with 12% which is where Gesink will have to attack if he wants to gain time on valverde.

Missed the stage today - but again, it's a non-GC rider who takes the stage win. Boring - next stage, please.

All nice that everybody is telling Gesink to 'attack 'till Piti crack' - but he won't. Gesink is not a rider who likes many acceletations. Sure, if he's got the strength, he'll attack. But not time and time again. That'd be stupid for him.
Also, I don't think he'll be able to drop Valverde. Valv now just has to focus on one man, take some more boni's and it's a done deal.
Only one thing can stop him - a bad day. In any way; too few food, crash, puncture or just bad legs. If not, I think Valverde's got it.

All we can hope for is that Sanchez is feeling good enough to make an early attack, that should make sparks fly.

So we shouldn't be surprised if we see Rabobank people stealing food and drinks from Valverde tomorrow then?
