Ideal for Boom. You would say ideal for Cornu as well, seeing his background as pursuit specialist. But, with the many corners a road race has, he has the disadvantage against Boom, the cyclocrosser, who is better at taking corners and accelerating out of corners.
Besides, Cornu was one of the weakest links uphill today

Oh yeah, and Boom is definately the biggest favourite. He was the best uphill today, only Dekker could follow him. The way Ivanov cracked was incredible...
Tomorrow I think the GC will be
1. Boom
2. Dekker
3. Cornu
Although Cornu might suprise, he is a weird guy

yep i agree @ Boom being the fav now, 16km should suit him altho i think it will be close with Cornu, he rode a strange tour of Belgium, wasting his powers two days ago and 'sucking' today
also nice to see that Bakelants is in the top 10 overall, even tho hes not really close to the leader(s)

Cornu was gone at the Redoute, but rode smartly to attack and anticipate. If he stayed with the group behind, he would not even be in the top 15

The Tour of Belgium was great. Superb queen stage. De Waele won, Boom is the new leader.
GC battle will be between Boom, Cornu (+7 seconds) and Dekker (+15 seconds) tomorrow
Now, I didn't watch the race, but why did Dekker give Boom 4 seconds extra advantage at the finish? Was he leading van Avermaet out? Seeing as it probably will be small gaps in the final GC, I just find this a bit strange.

Dekker was indeed leading Van Avermaet out in a last attempt to catch de Waele. Which almost succeeded, but not quite.
It was the only choice he had.

I can say 100% sure it was Moerenhout.
I've seen it on tv + this pic:

In that case, CQRanking made a rare mistake and L'Équipe copied it
EDIT: Looking back they've both fixed it. bah

Actually, Cyclingnews first said it was Moerenhout, then corrected it to say Tankink, and then changed it again

In a sprint with 8 man.
Don't get too excited though. The U23 PR has a long list of winners who have done nothing in PR at the pro's

Raivis Belohvosciks won Liége-Bastogne-Liége U23.....twice.
Enough said, right?
EDIT: in fact, I just went through the list of Paris-Roubaix U23 winners of the past to see how many went on to become reasonable cobbles riders. Not even "good". just "reasonable".
The answer is none. Ever.
