Hurray for Van Impe!!
At last a victory for him, it has been a while ago since he last won.

Well, it would have been a shame if Quickstep hadn't won. With 3 riders in front there's no excuse for not winning, even with Haussler and Eeckhout in top form.

was it tactics? or did they just have 3 of the strongest riders in the race?

What a delight to see Van Impe get some real success. He really deserves this after his miserable season last year where his new-born son died, actually just a little more than a year ago.
Never.

No, Haussler was stronger then all 3 combined actually.
But Haussler gave it away by making stupid attacks far too early

Just a tad 'unfortunate' to crash 20 meters from goal

So the under-23 Nations' Cup starts this weekend with the GP Portugal.
Who do you all think's gonna win the Nations' cup this year? Surely Portugal don't have the strength to repeat last year's win. Spain seems abnormally strong. Maybe them?
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

I might go watch the second stage at the finish. And the last stage to Alto de Santa Quitéria should be interesting.
I can't find a startlist or something with the riders who will participate. Do you or somebody have one?

Congrats to Van Impe, especially after his sons death and that fucked up doping control

The nations cup is not interesting to me.
Everytime half of the squads sent their b-team. For instance the Dutch team is a laugh, they even sent 2 mountainbikers to get some experience and race rythm. They don't take the nations cup seriously, that's for sure
