The stages this year were too hard for Petacchi and the other sprinters. Only the best climbing sprinters like Manuel Cardoso were able to hang on.
Chuzhda won the flattest stage in a breakaway.
Tomorrow....whatever you do, be sure not to miss the stage.
can anyone record this stage and upload it to rapidshare or megaupload? i have to go out to a rugby match while its on so i'll miss it, looks a very good stage

As usual every year, they're riding up to the team cars during the race to ask the DSs about the tactics.
The Palmeiras DS still believes Barbosa can win. riiiight....
Anyway, Eusébio Unzué of Caisse is watching the race and says Tiago Machado is a "very strong possibility" for Caisse next season.

Nice for Machado. He has the potential to get top results on PT level.

Barbosa and Guerra dropped.
Clearly something wrong with Guerra. He's the strongest stage racer in the race, along with Blance.

Just do not understand why Eusébio Unzué said the hiring of Tiago Machado depended on the signing or not of Contador..

If they sign Contador, Contador will demand that they sign certain riders like Noval and Hernández.
He probably means that if they all sign for Caisse there won't be space in the squad for another rider - Machado.
If that's the case, considering that he says it's "a very strong possibility" that Machado signs, does that mean Contador probably won't sign?

Liberty ups the pace. Cunego gets dropped. Sinkewitz isn't looking good. Machado isn't looking good either.
24kms to the top of the climb
