Le Tour de France Stage 9


A lot of riders in the breakaway today, but they didn't stay together so there was easy for the pack to catch them


There's a new guy in our train. Kirchen is there as he could help us in the final uphill sprint. So it's Hincapie - Kirchen - Eisel - Hagen for the win


But sudenly Eisel and Hagen cracked and they couldn't stay behind Kirchen. Very strange thing happened there.


So now there are only Hincapie and Kirchen left to try to get the win. I could be the seventh stage win for Columbia in this year's Tour de France


But Silence Lotto, for Cadel Evans, and Gerolsteiner, for Heinrich Haussler, ready to take the win away from us


Hincapie was in front before got away to let Kirchen doing his job. Also Fedrigo appeared from nowhere...


500 metres left... this looks like going to be a fight in 3 riders for the stage win. Kirchen vs. Fedrigo vs. Haussler


Only 350 metre... and Haussler looks like he did a good move there. He is in front and looking better than the other 2


Haussler gets it! This was for the first time he showed his face in this Tour and he got the win there, and of course the first time we lost a sprint. He would surely be a great sign if he decides to accept our offer


This last hill and his uphill sprint split the pack into 2 big groups. A lot of big or important names were caught in the second group, and lost more than 1 minute, like: Andy Schleck, Contador, Rogers, Kloden, Lovkvist, Popovych, Zubeldia, Gesink, Sastre, Valjavec, Fothen, Pereiro, Gomez Marchante, Luis Leon Sanchez, Efimkin, Moreau, Brajkovic, Simoni or Van den Broeck Astarloza So Kirchen won some time over them and some places as well. He is now 14th overall, not so far away from the top 10.

yep Gerolsteiner is still alive. I had a great fight with them at the German Championships.
They won the TT pretty clear, but in the road race it was a better fight won it with Gerdemann but still they had more riders at the top.

why did you dedicate the 1-2-3 win to a team that don´t even win races in RL?`(silence)

it's not dedicated for team it's dedicated for forum user

yep it was dedicated to Silence, the guy who has that username, because he was always saying that I win too much so he should be really happy with the 1-2-3.

The breakaway. No strong riders there and they are caught


For this one we are back at the normal sprint train. Hincapie - Hagen - Eisel


Hincapie shows one more time his power. No other train is at least at the same level with us in this Tour


We are still in front when Hincapie got off the day and Hagen has started doing his job


Eisel takes now the lead, in what could be his 5th stage win this Tour and 8th stage win ever in the Tour de France...


Pagliarini and Pozzato seem to come really fast in this final metres, Hagen already lost the second spot


But not, they can't stop Eisel. He gets it! Incredible! an another win for our magic sprint train.

We just lost an another rider that we were interested in. Andy Schleck just decided to reject our offer and to join Astana for the next year.

Le Tour de France Stage 11


Wegelius was the best rider today in the breakaway.


But in a back group we had Sonery, second before today in the polka dot rankings. He won some more points and took the jersey from Gerdemann.


The yellow jersey, Denis Menchov, made the first move on the last climb


Sastre and Contador were the first to go after him


Kirchen went with Kloden and Samuel Sanchez


Sastre was first at the top of the climb. But he looked interested only about that, he didn't assume any risks on the downhill and got back in the pack


So the leading group on the downhill does not contain Sastre. The riders in front are: Samuel Sanchez, Evans, Contador, Menchov, Kirchen, Barredo, Andy Schleck, Luis Leon Sanchez, Kloden and Pereiro Sio. Some of the riders in top 13 are not here so Kirchen has a good chance to win some places.


Andy Schleck, Barredo and Kirchen are leading the group in the last kilometre...


Andy keeps the lead and gets the stage. Kirchen was third in the stage and he is now 8th overall.


Denis Menchov was there and he keeps the yellow jersey another day.

yep that would be great. And about the polka dot i think I will go for it with Gerdemann as he already has 42 points while Lovkvist has none.

Le Tour de France Stage 12


Gerdemann is in the breakaway with Del Nero and Kern


Again, the pack was really interested in followin the escapes, but Arroyo and Moreau attacked and Rabobank set a higher pace in the chasing after the escapes


Still Gerdemann won all the intermediare climbs. He will be tomorro in polka dot and the main favourite to wear it at Paris as well.


He and Moreau were the last escapes on the road. They were caught with less than 5km to go on the final climb.


Kirchen and Fothen were the first attackers there...


Still none of them was in the front group that will fight for the win today. Evans, Contador, Andy Schleck, Menchov and Samuel Sanchez were there


Contador is leading the sprint, with Menchov, Evans and Andy ready to beat him if he cracks


But he didn't and got the win.


Menchov was there with Evans so he keeps the yellow jersey


Good job though for Kirchen finishing in the second group. Plus Kloden wasn't there which means that he is now 7th overall.

So an another mass sprint finish. Hincapie, Hagen and Eisel are there


Hincapie seems to feel good after the mountain stages. But what about Eisel and Hagen...

Now Hagen is in front. Still no one even close to us


But sudenly Pozzato accelerates...


And he took the lead. Eisel is trying something but it could be too late...


Yes, it was too late. Pozzato wins, in front of Hagen and Eisel. This was our first mass sprint finish lost in this Tour.
