Go with Maaskant, allround (sprint,hill,cobbles) and his quite young !

I would buy Nuyens. I know he's older and stuff, but way better than Maaskant and i don't think Maaskant will develop more than that.

His stats are only a tad better in cobble and hills (as you see) - and why don't you think Maaskant will develop? Any particular reason?

In some carrers with this DB Maaskant always had at least 80 cobble after a few seasons. Nuyens is already 29 and his recovery is awfull so I can't really use him in GT as a first man in my train.
So if I won't buy Boonen then I could go for those:
- Dekker (leader in Tirreno, Romandie, Amstel Gold race with Kirchen and maybe Giro)
- Haussler (only if I don't take Boonen and he will be the leader for the Tour with Eisel as sprinters)
- Visconti (for TDU, Pais Vasco and some hilly races/classics)
- Maaskant (yep his my first choice between him and Nuyens)
- Nuyens (co-leader in cobble races/classics and one day races/small stage races as his recovery sucks) or Karpets (Vuelta and some other stage races in Spain like Pais Vasco where he could be the co-leader of the team with Visconti)

Still from those I'm sure that only Haussler and Karpets will not renew their contracts with their curent teams and of course Boonen but he now looks like out of the business.

Edit: Also Fulgsgang could be in the fifth option as he has a good potential (7, just checked) and his already 76 at 24 years but I'm not quite sure that he will not renew his contract.

I like the sound of visconti - he's barely in any stories

yep he is one of my favourite riders in RL and now he is in the game a great all arounder with 78 hill but he will develop

Tour De Suisse Stage 1


The breakaway.


If in Dauphine we have our train for the Tour, here we have something that could be our train for Vuelta: Burghardt - Ciolek - Cavendish


Our main opponents today seem to be Milram for Bettini and Haussler&Fischer who got in our slipstream


Ciolek does his job perfectly for Cav, from now one it's only the Brit's job


4 riders are in the front row: Cavendish, Ciolek, Haussler and Bettini


Bettini and Ciolek are slowing down while now only Haussler and Cavendish seem to fight for the win. Even Fischer looks better that Ciolek and Bettini as he got the wheel of Cav


A few metres more. Still close between Cavendish and Haussler


And a close finish as well! But Cavendish gets only the second place, Haussler wins and we got to sign him!

If you're still talking about guys to sign. Besides Haussler look to sign a guy who has a similar pedigree to say Gianni Meersman. Solid flat rider, able rider on hills, and a solid sprinter. Can work as a leadout man or a domestique in any race.

yep he doens't have a contract for 2010, but his stats aren't impressing at the moment 72 flat 73 hills and I'm not sure about his feature progress, but it should be pretty good as he has potential no.7 (8 max in PCM08). I could have a go at him if I fail to sign the main riders that I was talking about in the previous posts.

Dauphine Libere Stage 7


This is going to be very hard for Rogers to keep his yellow jersey. Kloden makes an attack even on the first climb of the day, but Hincapie goes with him and everything is under control


Then a giant breakaway was made with Halgand in the main position. He was almost all the time the virtual leader of the race


Ricco and Evans seem to be Rogers' main rivals


Talking about the ex-Aussie champion he is in a group with Kloden, A.Schleck, Zubeldia, Anton and Astarloza but at least he isn't doing all the job there as the 3 Euskaltel riders seem to help him a little bit


Halgand takes the win. When he crossed the line he was the virtual leader of the race, but can he get the yellow prise? His and Rogers' rivalls are comnig pretty fast in the final kilomtres


But is not Evans the one who is behind the breakaway, it seems that he was dropped off somewhere by Ricco


Yes Ricco is the first one behind the breakway, with F.Schleck in his back


Ricco is the new leader it seems. He is in front of Halgand and better than Evans and Rogers that are still on the road


Rogers made a impresive work today finishing with togheter with way better climbers like Kloden and Andy Schleck and winning time over riders like Popocyh, Zubeldia, Astarloza, Cobo, L.L. Sanchez or Devolder. Still he lost a place on the provisional podium for only a few seconds to Evans.

Tour de Suisse Stage 2


Zabriskie was the big favourite but he had a stomachache and it was obvious after the first intermediate time that he isn't going to win today


From the favourites for the final overall win Contador and Menchov could come with good times today and they did


If Zabriskie isn't at the top form then the other TT specialists like Lang or Clement can do well today


Our leaders, Gerdemann and Kirchen weren't impressive but at least they didn't lose too much time


Haussler crosses the line, he had lost the yellow jersey but Gerolsteiner are still happy as the winner of the stage and the new yellow jersey wearer is Sebastian Lang.

Dauphine Libere Final Stage


The breakaway.


Luis Leon Sanchez attacked early on the last climb and he was first at the top


Though that Kloden and Sastre weren't far away


With 10km to go on the downhill Sanchez is still leading


Kloden is his main chaser


The yellow jersey, Ricco, is in a group with Sastre, Moreau and Schleck right after Kloden


Then we have a group with Rogers and Halgand


The pack is almost 40 seconds behind the Rogers-Halgand group. Evans is there and he could lose his place on the podium


That's why Rogers is trying everything he can to win time over Evans, but he need to catch Ricco's group as well cause Schleck is looking dangerous


Luis Leon takes the win


Moreau is third, but Rogers isn't in that group so Schleck got the final podium. And Ricco gets the win in Dauphine Libere


Rogers even loses the 4th place as somehow the pack got his time
