The Columbia sprint train
alexkr00
I decided to make a story with Team Columbia. The team will focuse on sprints but Kirchen and Hincapie will be also supported by the team.

The goals aren't looking so hard to make but we will see
img216.imageshack.us/img216/1879/pcm0004qx7fa3.jpgimg221.imageshack.us/img221/2833/73357054vo1.jpg

Mark Cavendish will be the leader in the massive sprint finishes, but Ciolek, Eisel or Greipel could also have something to say. Mark will focuse on the Tour but he will also be present in Giro.
img216.imageshack.us/img216/2253/pcm0005nm1.png

Kim Kirchen will focuse on the spring classics and a place in the top 10 of the Tour and maybe a stage victory.
img369.imageshack.us/img369/7013/pcm0015rz2.png

George Hincapie will be the team leader for the cobblles races and some one week races like Eneco Tour. But he can't guarante anything because he is getting old

The Australian Championships

Adam Hansen was in the day's breakaway, that had a 8 minutes advantage
img159.imageshack.us/img159/5/pcm0013vx5.png

With 2 km to go 6 riders are in front, Michael Rogers and Cadel Evans were there
img232.imageshack.us/img232/4884/pcm0014gi5.png

The finish arrives and Michael Rogers is the new road australian champion Banana, and brings the first victory of the season for us. We also won in the teams classment

This victory is good for the team morale, but all the important are still to comeWink

Cavendishe's stats seem like crap so could you post the whole teams stats, and what db is it?

Tour Down Under Stage One
img217.imageshack.us/img217/4934/pcm0024oa5.png

The biggest atraction at the start was Rogers and his jerseyGrin
img217.imageshack.us/img217/2895/pcm0019md2.png

In front Haselbacher tried to take the race on his own
img219.imageshack.us/img219/7371/pcm0020dq1.png

...while Francaise Des Jeux and Quick Step were leading the bunch
img222.imageshack.us/img222/1414/pcm0021vn7.png

With 20km to go Haselbacher was caught by the bunch and his consolation will be the mountain jersey that will wear tomorrow
img391.imageshack.us/img391/4106/pcm0022jb3.png

After a poor position at the final sprint of our train and Ciolek the main sprinter couldn't take the wheel of Eisel we take only a 3rd place with Eisel and 5th with Hammond, while the day's winner is Napolitano, from Lampre

Bad luck there, but i think Ciolek will win some stages for youSmile

Wiggo
Great story so far. And you have a demon of a computer. Compared to mine anyway.

ringo182
yeah, the field in aus usually isn't too strong so with ciolek you should pick up your first pro tour points of the season.

well that third place has got you 1 point already.

raar1991
I'm playing my career with Columbia too Smile but with PCM daily database I have Cav as 83 Sprinter Grin

Tour Down Under Stage 2
img137.imageshack.us/img137/9439/pcm0009ni3.png

Danilo Napolitano, the winner of the 1st stage, in the bunch talking with the other riders about his win
img159.imageshack.us/img159/9711/pcm0001dm6.png

Of course we had a breakway. 4 riders were there
img215.imageshack.us/img215/5685/pcm0004cz9.png

With 23km before the finish line, the breakaway was caught by a furious bunch with Fischer and 2 Euskaltel riders in front
img128.imageshack.us/img128/573/pcm0005gx4.png

The sprint started with us in the first positions:lol:....
img147.imageshack.us/img147/2802/pcm0006am5.png

....but with 1 km to go, because th hilly terrain Gerald was alone in front
img215.imageshack.us/img215/7553/pcm0007gw3.png

He couldn't maintain his position, losing a lot of speed, finishing only 4th
img215.imageshack.us/img215/2025/pcm0008kz6.png

I think that this database was made before the Tour and because of that Cavendish has only 80 in sprintFrown

Nice story. Hopefully, you'll manage to pick up a win Down Under.

And as for stage 2, you want to slow things down a little. If your main sprinters have that amount of energy left with 3k to go, you'll struggle to win stages.

alexkr00
thanks for the advice. The riders still are at 50 fittnes points, when the will be in better shape i certanly improve my sprintsWink

Tour Down Under Stage 3
img78.imageshack.us/img78/5728/pcm0007iy6.png

The first attackers of the day were Lang and Bodrogi...
img222.imageshack.us/img222/2746/pcm0001pm7.png

..a group six riders caught them and so we have a big breakaway group
img98.imageshack.us/img98/7215/pcm0003cj3.png

Daniele Bennati's team, Liquigas were chasing the breakaway
img215.imageshack.us/img215/5006/pcm0004xi8.png

The last kilometres found Columbia with 4 riders in front, but in left Pozzato was leading well for Bennati...
img225.imageshack.us/img225/5474/pcm0005ue8.png

Gert Stegmans had a perfect position after Bennati and he will take his first season victory!
img216.imageshack.us/img216/7339/pcm0006fu2.png
