Tough start for the Eddie Boys. One could also say Renshaw was lucky in Ireland, could have been worse...
As predicted, a long hard season still to come.

With the first of this seasons updates just been announced i or should i say we here at Eddie Stobart Procycling are very disappointed with our early season performances and despite predictions mostly saying we are relegation material at this moment we would have to agree with them all as we have showed nothing in the way of challenging for Overall Race victories and that is with a much stronger squad than last year.
Only two stage wins are what we have got to our name and nothing else and even though we are only in March i would have to say that some riders should be looking over there shoulders and worrying whether they will get there contracts renewed come the end of the season.
Individually our best performer is in 92nd position in the rankings and that is just totally unacceptable. There must be a very much improved performance from all our squad members by the time Rankings Update #2 is released

I really want to cheer your side on and see you do well because you deserve to judging by how regularly you keep you Team HQ up to date.
Only problem with that is that you are our main rivals for this season as we are likely going to end up in a 2 team fight to avoid the bottom of the rankings and I don't really want to end up there I can't celebrate your success' like I want to as it's going to be bad news for my side.
Hopefully we can both strengthen a lot at the end of the season and bounce back next year with 2 strong promotion campaigns that set us up better for another crack at this level in 2 years time.

sammyt93 - It looks like we will both need miracles to avoid the dreaded drop but there is still a long way to go so we both have time to change our fortunes around

We now enter the month of April and its a big one for us here at Eddie Stobart as it includes our first goal of the season, the Tour of South Africa.
We accept that its not going to be easy but we will definitely be giving it our best shot. Our main man there will be the Australian Nathan Earle and we hope he will be well looked after by the likes of Wurf, Renshaw, Appleby and Di Gregorio.
So far in the short history of the team we have not managed to achieve a team GOAL so hopefully this could be a turning point in that history
