HIL 63 ?
Well then it's pretty obvious, you need a good mountain stat an a good hill stat.

btw. Wiggins is better than 63^^

matt493
but even some sprinters with hill stats in the 50s survived

This is gonna be a weird race. Since most of the flat stages are full of mountains, as you saw in the last stage, none of the favorites attack and if the Mountain stages are flat then the favorites will attack but they won't get any where so the AI is sort of screwed. There are however two mountain stages that are actually mountain stages. Yipee. Pfft

Weird!

Poor Wiggins.

Rigoberto Uran has signed with ISD. That should be interesting especially since ISD are close to being relegated.

Im really annoyed with the Tour de france. Im losing riders like crazy. my prediction is there will only be around 40 riders at the finish and only 3 from Garmin.

Nice story, I like following it.
Good luck with the remainder of the tour (that is, that stages work appropriate and someone will attack you in GC Smile), defending your lead.

Just a head's up, i just got done with stage 10, its a funny 47km action packed staged as all the riders line up single file and then constantly attack for 47km's=P Because its listed as a hilly stage, look for a lot of attacks by the hilly riders do to the stage profile..hilarious stage...I just love the way it starts, they all go over and down the tt ramp to start...oh also on the 156km team time trial they go through a lake or something...just ridiculous=)

matt493
yeah i noticed that most of the race was completely under water. thanks for the heads up.Wink This tour de france is so unrealistic. No attacks on the flat stages that have mountains so it looks like I'm dominating when really its just that the AI is a huge idiot and doesn't realize that there are climbs. So it looks like I have a good chance at dominating the race. I think I'm down to about 100 riders in the peloton and that is only 9 stages in. Almost no sprinters are left. I almost just want to simulate the rest of the race and get to something that isn't completely screwed up.

Ill rephrase it in a question.

Should I continue with Tour or Simulate and begin races that aren't screwed up?

I would recommend simulating the rest of the tour, i ended up finishing it up tonight, and only raced one stage(The massive mountain stage, you will know just by looking at it. I think 40 riders had to withdraw on that stage due to the time limit) Also Stage 20 is useless as it was a 198km time trial or something ridiculous, and it crashed every time i tried to run it.

Be careful simulating stage 11 because of the cobbles, I lost Vande Velde due to an injury during my simulation of that stage.

Overall the 2010 TdF sucked, of course i won it, its not very hard to win a tour like this when you can easily get a 10+ minute lead, heck i think Cancellara got 13th for me or something like that because of the tt's. Although if you simulate the flat(labeled mtn though) expect crappy results...I had Cavendish lose 18 minutes simulating a completely flat stage because it was labeled a mountain stage. Yet Cavendish won 3 stages that were labeled flat's but were mountains...I am just praying the 2011 TdF will be good.

It's just sad that it has only been the 2010 TdF that was messed up. I am now in the Vuelta and everything is perfectly fine..but after how upsetting the TdF was i am pretty much moving to the offseason and getting ready for 2011, the Vuelta was not a big goal for me, being that my leader for the Vuelta is Rujano and hes not quite there yet to get a podium place. Hoping he can pull off a top 15 as his tt is bad. He does not have much help though=(

Just caught up on the story. Great story, shame the Tour is so screwed up though.

After spending the last month training for my main goal of the year, the Tour de France, I feel even better in the mountains. I still don't feel quite ready to be a contender in the hilly classics, but I might be able to help out my teammates.

How did you menaged to improve his skills in such a short period of time? Did you train him so well, sent on a training camp or just edited his stats?

I just trained him and had the development rate up really high. That much of a stat increase is pretty normal.

I completely agree with you misfire. I haven't attacked despite having full yellow and green because I didn't want to dominate. Therefore the results are unrealistic because you can dominate easily.

Then on that note I will simulate through the Tour de France and get to another race.

Contador won the Tour de France followed by Gesink and then Menchov. Vandevelde finished in 4th and I finished in 24th.

I'll be racing the Vuelta soon. Stage 1 will be up in just a little bit.
