More problems now.
The start list works fine, except the computer adds a load of extra teams!
Not got a clue what's going on?

Maybe it doesnt like you using too few teams? If the problem continues i suggest adding small teams with 1 or 2 rubbish riders to fill up the slots.

Not sure how many teams you have in your startlists, but i have used startlists with for ex. 16 teams, without a problem.
Btw if you're using a 2007 db, try this thread. If you know how to work with converters you should be able to easily create many startlists for your DB. Just copy the converted startlists in the \custom\startlists\ folder and choose 'realistic' when starting a race.
