For next season and the rest of the future? A broken pelvis that takes three and a half months to fully heal is a really bad sign, especially as it was residual pain that prolonged his time off the bike. It could mean that the musculature around that area didn't settle back into place properly after the bone reset, and that could be a sign of future issues that could hurt him long term. Building up form now, coming out of the injury, will likely strengthen that region and make it less likely he gets future musculature injuries there.

I don't think Andy said it for PR, I think he said it because his doctors are telling him he needs to get into shape and get his legs working to build up strength.

For that he needs to do physiotherapy, or something even better that his former mentor Riis "invented" for cyclists: Go ski. Nothing beats it for that purpose.

After what he showed at the Vuelta and lately, and the different strengths of riders, I didn't really expect Degenkolb to be beaten by Blythe and Petit. I wonder how the sprint turned out.

I'm a bit surprised as well, but I don't know if you can consider it a real sprint at all. 22 riders on s.t., no support for Blythe or Degenkolb, only Garcia for Petit.

I'm personally pretty excited for how Stallaert has been sprinting in the past few weeks. Some really promising results.

Van Staeyen is puzzling me for quite some time now.

In pretty heavily contested races in Belgium, he's always in the mix, often the first rather unknown guy behind the top favourites, yet his last win dated two years back.

He seems like the typical weaker PCM sprinter who benefits of slipstream to sneak himself in the top places
(I won the Continental Tour with Rick Zabel that way )
