Yeah, and even more impressive considering he was in the smaller chasing group together with Scarponi, Cunego, Henao and Kiserlovski.

Indeed. And he looked strong there, maybe even the strongest in that group.

Henao looked strongest of that chasing group to me

Nordhaug said he's struggling with his allergies at the moment. Similarly to Daniel Martin and finished in top group by luck today. He says he doesn't have any ambitions for the overall here and Henao is the leader. Bit of a shame really as he improved his TT by quite a bit and could have finished in Top 8, but should be interesting how Henao does in the TT.

Are u sure u were watching the Vuelta al País Vasco? Nordhaug didnt manage to stay with the chasing group. Only in the last km manage to get back to that group. A long time in the chasing group was only Martin, Cunego, Scarponi, Henao, Kiserlovski, Spilak and Mollema.

Yes that's why I am impressed as he's really struggling with his allergies and still managed to catch the main group. Daniel Martin who has same allergy finished 6 minutes down yesterday, showing Nordhaug's great effort Wink Ardennes now are a doubt for him in his best shape. His great build up help him so far, but he's going take it easy for this month, he'll see how he fares in Amstel, hopefully he'll be okay to help Henao well enough.

Yeah, Henao, Martin and Kiserlovski looked good to me, although Kiserlovski spent too much attacking/following attacks in the first part of the climb and was a bit invisible later. Martin impressed me because he reduced the gap a lot in one pull with 2/3km to go, when it looked the front trio could even be caught.

kumazan sorry i misunderstood u.

Impressive that although Henao is new on the team and he is so joung he is allready Team leader. I thought ROGGERS, LÖVKIST or NORDHAUG were going to be team leaders.

1) Rogers didn't have the legs yesterday and isn't peaking in this month or next, expected. He's first peak is July at Tour.

2) Lofkvist ? He's utter s**t after coming to Sky. Not trying to be harsh, but that's reality. He produced some good results, but way below the expected level.

3) As I said before, he's struggling with his allergies a lot.

That leaves Henao as the leader who is one month away from his major peak ( Giro ) and weeks from his other big targets ( Ardennes ). And with Henao being amazing talent I wasn't really surprised he would be a leader here. My 2 cents, almost always about Sky Pfft It's not like he's very young too though, he'll be 25 in December.

Victory for Joaquim Rodriguez. Samu Sanchez in 2nd, Henao 3rd.

Alakagom
Rodriguez wins quite boring 'queen stage'. Sanchez 2nd and Henao 3rd. Henao again super strong, he was the first to attack and then Rodriguez and Sanchez followed.

Vacansoleil guy went too soon, then Henao went too soon. And having been on both of their wheels, Rodriguez then timed it just right and won.

All about the final few hundred metres that stage, really

I think it was Poels who went first.

jt1109
Poels, VDB and Nordhaug i think were 4th-6th needs confirming Henao went very early and Rodriguez flew past him in the end but very boring apart.

Indeed that was Poels. It was after Henao went Rodgiruez and Sanchez went followed him though. Quite happy as steep climbs are not his speciality Smile

Man, sometimes those dutch climbers think that they are new Eddy Merckxes.

Henao definitely will be a big player in couple of years.

And Samu is a serious bet in this years no-Contador Tour.
