Liquigas are on fire. BTW I mistyped, it was supposed to be Guarneri and I typed Guardini earlier

Not a easy stage at all. Liquigas and Astana dominating the stage. Guarnieri had to take a long sprint around 500m and only in the last 100m Sagan had to jump out. It was a close victory.

Indeed it wasn't an easy stage at all. Wonder if Alaskagom even watched the race.
Westra and Langeveld and Chavanel etc in the attack the whole time...

No, gotta watch the highlights. When I saw the results and saw the stage ended up in a bunch sprint with Guarneri 2nd I immediately thought the stage wasn't as selective as I expected it to be, should be enjoyable too watch if it wasn't easy though.

It was pretty selective, and I think they could have finished with 10 or even less riders in the front group. But people in the first group kept hesitating because Westra was there and OPQS didn't have anyone in there so the peloton kept being brought back in the end by Chavanel himself.

I suggested Sagan could win a stage and he did it right in the first stage, great
Strong Liquigas again, it will be them vs. OPQS probably

So, I'm saying Greipel will win today. 3 laps of the flat circuit in Koksijde at the end (11km), the hills are in the middle of the stage so won't make a huge difference either.

He should have good chances actually. Yesterday he punctured and did not come back afterwards.

Yes, he forgot they had car number 24 on the Haaghoek (narrow cobbled sector) and let the neutral car pass, then he had to pursue that one.

KBC Driedaagse van De Panne - Koksijde Stage 2
1 Kittel
2 Kristoff
3 Van Poppel
4 Van Hummel
5. Greipel
6. Guarnieri
7. Turgot
8. Schulze
What did happen to Greipel today? Doesn't look good after TdU at all imo so far. Had to be good sprint by Kristoff as well, Zabel seems to be going job at Katusha already.

Kristoff now leads the Driedaagse.
Was a reasonably boring stage, Cappelle and his gutsy survival ride was sort of cool. Other than that, not too much to yell about.

Greipel wasted a lot of energy trying to set up an echelon.
Van Poppel seems to be getting better results in sprints. Nice work.

Greipel was (again) too far behind when the sprint started.. The sprinters in front were sprinting all over the width of the road, so Greipel was boxed in by everybody during the sprint, he only got into a gap in the last meters, when it was already too late..

Nice win by Kittel, also Kristoff and Van Poppel with nice results. Greipel still have not learned how to position himself.
Sagan steped off the pace in the closing kilometres and lost two minutes, as he said he is for training there.

And finally, Kristoff has won something outside of Norway. Great lead out from Katusha, and nice to see him holding on, eventhough he started the sprint early today aswell.

1. Kristoff
2. Schulze
3. Van Hummel
4. Chicchi
5. Colli
Great win from Kristoff. Hope, with Zabel, he can improve more and become top in a few years. Also, Schulze in second is also pretty good, almost 40 but still getting top-5 during this first three months.

It's too bad for Kristoff there's a TT aswell, but this has been a great race for him no matter how tthe TT goes. I'm really glad he got his first win and the fact that he did it wearing the leaders jersey is even better!

Chavanel wins the TT and the Overall. Westra once again comes 2nd.

That's quite a statement, having Bodnar out on the roads. Fair enough, his time looks safe, but never say never
