Great result from Nordhaug, really proving himself. It's quite unusual, having a norwegian fighting for a stage win on a mountain stage 
Hopefully he'll improve to the Ardennes, where he has said he will have his first peek.

Should be very intresting. Do you know if he's going to Giro ? As well what does he expect in Ardennes ? I would think Uran would be Sky's leader, would Nordhaug be co - leader ? With Henao, Froome and Lofkvist it's a tough choice, of course Uran is the leader, but if something doesn't go right I wonder who will step in.

Nordhaug is not going to the Giro, that's for sure, as he's confirmed for Tour of Norway in May. Back in January, he said he had no clue whether he was going to ride Le Tour or La Vuelta, but he hopes to ride one of them.
For the Ardennes, Uran is captain, according to Nordhaug earlier this year, but Nordhaug will most likely ride in a free role, depending on his daily form. And for "who will step in" if Uran has a bad day/crashes or something else, I think Sky will simply ride for the rider with the best daily form, it could very well be Nordhaug, but it could also be another one, Nordhaug is definitely not the type of rider that demands a chance as leader if some in his team is equally strong or a bit weaker. But it's still a long way to go before the Ardennes, lot of things can happen, and Nordhaug still has a long way to go, if he's going to be a contender for a top 10 placing in the Ardennes.

Thanks for that. Indeed he will have too, but glad he's definitely improving each year, first big test will be Pais Vasco fro Ardennes. Hope he does well there.

I hadn't notice, but Vaugrenard finished 15th in the ITT yesterday. His first noticeable result for ages. He got ill before the Ardennes classics last season, rested then started riding again in June, but did only crap from there on. I've never really managed to know why.

Rogers wasn't 3rd, it was Nordhaug who came 3rd. Rogers was 8th and Levarlet (Saur) was 5th

Don't expect too much of that tactic. If Uran drops with 100 km to go they will use the whole team to get him back. Sky logic.

Yeah, I remember last year's with Greipel doing an awesome stage. It was pretty cool to see him riding as a hardmen rather than as a sprinter.

This was epic to see him in the break and then through the narrow inner city roads just 10s ahead but somehow being successful in the end.

Sagan wins ahead of Guardini. Guardini 2nd shows it was relatively easy stage.

Strange that no group stayed in front, normally every year a small group of 3/4/5 wins. But the weather is too nice lately

It's Sagan. It was quite close.
It was a good stage, yeah it would have been nicer to see a smaller group, but it didn't happen. Glad Sagan won.
