There's a few features in the PCM.daily DB which are either not activated or simply 'hidden' (or difficult to find unless you know they are there).
1. Doping
As you may have noticed, there's some riders in the DB which are suspended for doping. This can be activated, so riders can get these kind of suspensions during the season. It's completely random who get them (which is also why it's not activated per default).
Activating the doping injury requires some editing in the DB.
In STA_injury:
Find ID 312 and change fkIDtype_injury_origin to 2
In STA_injury_label:
Find ID 12 and change fkIDtype_injury_origin to 2 and gene_flist_probability to anything between 0.1 and 1. (the higher number, the more riders will be caught).
2. Adding equipment to the PCM.daily DB
In the equipment screen, we have a brand called "Custom". This is added to make it easy and quick to add equipment to the DB - without having to edit the database file.
When you've found something that you want to add to the game, there's usually four files: a .nif-file and three .dds-files, one ending with _d, one with _n, and one with _s.
Now, if it's a road frame, you can add it by putting "bike1_road" ahead of the names, e.g. bike1_road.nif, bike1_road_d.dds, bike1_road_n.dds and bike1_road_s.dds.
The .nif file has to be moved to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/CM_Meshes/Equipment/Frames, while the .dds files go to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/CM_Textures/Equipment/Frames. Overwrite the existing ones, and you should now be able to pick it in-game (Custom Frames -> Bike 1).
The same is possible for wheels and helmets. Here's the names of the files that you have to overwrite:
Road Frames: bike1_road | bike2_road | bike3_road | bike4_road
Time Trial Frames: bike1_tt | bike2_tt | bike3_tt | bike4_tt
3. Assign equipment to teams
We've also made it easy to quickly assign equipment to teams - again without the need of editing the DB. Let's say that you control QuickStep, but want Saxo Bank to use some different equipment - this can be done using this method.
In the PCM.daily DB, each team has a set of equipment which can easily be replaced. If you find a a new frame on this forum that you want Saxo Bank to use, simply open up one of the equipment folders (e.g. Program Files/Cyanide/Cyanide/PCM/CM_Meshes/Equipment/Frames) and look for frame_the name/abbreviated name of the team - in this case, it's frame_saxobank.
You probably have four files: a .nif-file and three .dds-files, one ending with _d, one with _n, and one with _s. Rename them, so they're called frame_saxobank.nif, frame_saxobank_d.dds, frame_saxobank_n.dds and frame_saxobank_s.dds.
The .nif file has to be moved to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/CM_Meshes/Equipment/Frames, while the .dds files go to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/CM_Textures/Equipment/Frames
Saxo Bank will now use the frame that you've given them.
