Does anyone realize we just used up 5 pages with school? Reminds me of the time my health teacher said, and I quote "Turn to page 69 and choose a partner for the oral exam." Or maybe the time he said "Men on the internet always land on their genitals: be careful!"

On this weekend we had in Portugal the football match of the year with Porto playing with Benfica. On a shopping center in Porto two Benfica fans were on the middle of Porto fans. The police had to remove them and then a "hero" came and punched one of them, while the police did nothing. There was a black guy sitting with an Angola scarf who protested against his attitude. He went to him, the black guy got up and...well see it for yourself on an amateur video.

It's a bit violent.
Faith in humanity is yet again 0.

I prefer cycling fans over football fans, that's for sure.
The story in football is always the same: a part of the fans (obviously only those make the news, not all are violent) act like animals and fight over a stupid ball. Nice....

This is one of those cases where the guy acting violently and stupidly got what he deserved. Amazing how the police escorting people let other people hit them.
But you're right Ian, the only violence i saw in cycling was between cyclists, not fans.

True, there's a lot of violence in football. But also in cycling you have those stupid guys who hinders the cyclists when they're climbing a mountain, for example when the fans are running next to the cyclists. Although it's not violence, it could be very annoying for the cyclists. I think it's okay as long as the cyclists don't suffer from it, but that's not always.

Luckily, some cyclists take care of them by punching them in the face

Can't remember names, but one "fan" punched a rider and gave him a hernia. Another "fan" threw water over a climber just before a decent, who then developed hypothermia.
