Just a question; how many riders does each team have? Pretty sure I'm at least towards the bottom with 26.

So i've been doing more statsticaly analysis of the Goals system and i'm starting to draw some nice conclusions and ideas on how to improve the system in the future.
Firstly though i'd like to adress the Rankings because this was something i hadn't noticed before. Initially it's a pain to find out where the rankings system was, might want to make it (and most of the rules) easier to find and all in the same place.
WT races are ranked WT1-WT4 and CT races are ranked CT4-CT6. Basically looking through this these classifications don't seem to exactly match-up with real world classifications, or rather more importantly they don't match up with what most managers seem to percieve as big races. My prime example being Gabon classed higher than the HC events Qatar, Oman and Crit Int. I just think that this system wasn't looked at that much in the offseason and that it could do with some rebalancing to better reflect real world popularity, considering how much we value realism here.
Anyway back to goals! I applied a basic numerical ranking system to try and look at it in a similar way to how the MG does it's goals. Harder goals and harder races equal more points.
Under my numerical system OPQS currently has the hardest goals set by the team (29 points). But they also have the highest countered goals score(23 points). Cannondale has the second highest own goals (27points) but has the joint second lowest countered goals score (19 points) [shared with Giant who btw have the joint lowest own goal score].
Using my numerical system on the WT there is serious disconnect between the difficulty of own goals and countered goals. There are some teams who follow the prescribed theory of high own goals and low countered goals (Trek 26/18 and Cannondale 27/19).
The PCT does follow the theory more closely, however this is caused more by CT races being worth significantly less than WT races in my system. In terms of pure result asked by the UCI compared to the Team it's a relatively similar situation to the WT. By which i mean little pay-off for setting yourself high goals.
I would post my Excel file but it's kinda messy and hard to read if your not me (because i know what all the numbers and shorthand mean). I'll be interested to add in all the remaining goals soon and get a complete picture of how the system is working in reality. But what i'm seeing is early stages of proof that something isn't quite right in the goals system currently

@TMM: You're forgetting something here. It's not like in the MG where all the teams are rated equally, but Ollfardh also takes into account what kind of team you have.
For example Bardiani's GC goals in mountain races are rated much, much higher then let's say mine - because they just have no serious climber why I have a pretty good one at Champion System.

Yes i know it's not the same but it works fairly well for the WT where teams arn't one dimensional. Through the Season Part i will do some work on trying to figure out a way to put that variation into numbers to make it easier to quantify.

You could try to add some variables depending on the riders, like for example a Gent Wevelgem goal is easier if you have Boonen or Sagan on your team.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, Jimmy Briceno was supposed to be suspended, but since he got this far without anyone noticing him, he can stay until the end of the season. Also to be suspended next year is Diego Ulissi.

He got a backdated 9-months, missing less than 3 months of the season. I'd say it's harsh to back him from the entire season for that. (wish the UCI would update their Provisional List)

I don't think you should take him out. Key target of suspending dopers is not to punish the managers having them on their team, but sending a message that doping sucks. So I don't see the point here. Either let him never race again or just ignore it - only that would make sense to me. And then there's still the question if he was doping or just mishandled his Salbutamol, which I wouldn't say anybody can really know.

Just don't let him ride any race in the season part he missed in RL and take away 1/3 of his RDs. That has to be enough punishment for having him
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Well I didn't want to sign up yet as I was hoping a WorldTour team may come available next season, but I see now is the time to sign up. So does that man I am the manager of Astana?
If so here is my application
Name: Dave Grimsby
Nationality: British
Desired Team: Astana Pro Team
Done! Next thing to do is to familiarise yourself with your team and the game, then you cna build your new team HQ
