Great end to that day with Vogt surprisingly taking gold.
The medals table looks amazing so far, and keep in mind there's a good chance we'll add two or three gold medals tomorrow

Looking down the scores and just wow... South Korea 2018 will top this i know it! Taku, Ayumu, Hableutzel and the ever growing Chinese. Taylor Gold should be hot by then as well.
Say what you want about subjective events the Mens Halfpipe delivers like nothing else on the planet!
Competition and sport is great, but still too subjective. With that in mind, this final was pretty well judged imo. Really nice race, but top of the Olympics? Hardly...
Today the real game starts, cant wait for it since hockey tournament in Vancouver finished.
Czech Republic starts with Sweden, that will be tough as hell (Pavelec will sit in the stands, as he needs some time to get used to timezone, so Salak or Kovar from Russian league should start in goal).

If there were no freestyle in Olypics, there would not enough medals, and it would be a bit boring !

Pavelec is just piece of shit, sorry. If he will be our first choice goalkeeper we are doomed.
Only thing I am interested about - will Hanzal play? Because if yes, it will be very interesting.

I think he (Hanzal) is being left out for the first game, together with Hemsky.
Pavelec had a very bad season start, but shit? I cant agree mate, he was coming to form in last month and he always played for abysmall team in NHL, facing like 40-50shots night after night. He is no Hašek, but not a shit imo. But i would try Kovář, he seems like great goalie.

Serious? He isn't in Buffalo (well he isn't Miller either). It was just in one game, where he showed some class, unluckily against Ducks. He has far the worst save percentage from the from the keepers who are undisputed No. 1 in their clubs (well I don't rate Dubnyk as goalkeeper, as he's rather hole).

Germans surprisingly 4th and 5th, which is awesome for their performance level, but still kinda sad being only 0.012/0.015 secs slower than Bronze...

Well one of them won a world cup last season beating Davis winning streak on there (1000m) so he wasn't a big surprise. But yeah, kinda sorry for them really. They both did extremely well and it still wasn't enough. These short distances can be killing sometimes with the small differences

on the Dutch broadcasters have a lot if not all broadcasts from Sochi (all curling/hockey matches, highlights, replays and older replay (Vancouver, Lillehammer for example) and only the main stream (the broadcast that's also aired on television) has commantary.
all the other channel don't have voice-over commantary if you want that
edit today's result that weren't posted yet

1. Volosozhar/Trankov (RUS)
2. Stolbova/Klimov (RUS)
3. Szolkowy/Savchenko (GER)

3. Clark (USA)
