Anybody know of a way of watching as much of today's Biathlon as possible? (Geo-restricted or otherwise)
I don't know the result, but would like to watch it if possible, and it isn't available on any of BBC's 'catch-up' options.
If anybody does know, send me a PM. I'll avoid reading this thread for now to avoid spoilers, incase there is some video available somewhere.

You sure the BBC doesn't have it? So far i've found just about every event i want on their site, but it does mean sometimes digging through 3-4hour long broadcasts.

about the 5 km? yeah that was expected but at the 500 m? I think nobody in the Netherlands could even hope for that. surely Mo, Kato or Nagashima would take a medal (if not gold). the sprinting events are just extremly close

Bjørndalen admits to making a "tactical error" by not chasing Beatrix more than he did, he had a lot left in the tank.
Edit: And the IOC can go suck a schlong.
Uhmm. On the 500m? The Dutch have never even taken gold on the 500m in speed skating let stand dominate it.
We only have a history of dominating the long distances (5/10km). On the 500/1000/1500m the field is internationally strong, and it's hard for Dutch riders to win or even take a medal.
This has never happened before and is a surprise..
Be careful not to make assumptions, they usually lead to nothing good (i've learnt that at my job.. assumptions make for the most errors)

Nice silver for Moravec there, czech bithlonists have pretty good chance in every race, as someone fail every time, but there is someone to replace him. I wonder if Soukalova will put her bad result from sprint aside and will be better in next races.
About Netherlands and Canada medal race. Ehm, how to put it polite. Netherlands is good only in one discipline and Canada is mainly good in all that disciplines, which are rather good for circus than olympics (bar hockey and alpine skiing).
Ice hockey, alpine skiing, biathlon, nordic skiing, Bobsleigh and Luge, cross country,curling, speed skating and figure skating is all that matters for me.
Rest is too dependant on judges anyway, i would rather see it removed from games. And yes, i know this is probably not the popular idea.

To be perfectly honest, I', inclined to agree with you.
The judging has seemed odd, not that I'm the best one to know.
I just judge by how loud the commentators are.
Quiet=not so good
Medium=Maybe a small chance
Loud=might get a medal
Very loud=possible gold
Any louder=I was too busy covering my head to see it
Unfortunately the last one happens a lot.

Hopefully Jacobsen will have a good day today during the sprints, she really deserves it after what happened to her brother.
And again; IOC has a big wad of cash where its heart should be.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

To be honest, i included figure skating just because of its long tradition at Olympics. Personally, i see it as circus event too. Judging should be more clear there now, after that scandal with judges "cheating"

I am fine with that, because that is not decided by judges, but rather who is the strongest. I think other snowboard disciplines (despite being interesting to watch) are for Xgames, not Olympics.

I get that.
Watching the Halfpipe at the moment... It's just melted! The pipe is in poor condition and the last 3 riders have all fallen and the last 6-7 have all struggled to get serious amplitude
