Thought i'd make a new thread where you can discuss anything music - whether it be bands, festivals, instruments or anything of the like. There's no thread for music (besides the 'rate the band above you' thread, but it's technically not for discussing music. Or in depth, anyway.), and I thought it might help with keeping the 'Pedro' threads less cluttered. Hope you all agree.
Looking forward to the next 5 days. Going to a music festival just down the road from where I live, with some great older artists, such as Robert Plant and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Iggy and the Stooges, Santana, Ben Harper and many more. I really want to see this guy though. His voice is incredible:
Hey, really great performance. That was 7 minutes well spent listening to Matt Andersen which i din't knew. But there is alternative threads to "rate the band above you". There is the eurovision thread and the one i created about metal music.
So i'll bring to your thread a song that i posted on the rate the band above you thread that i really like. The best voice couldn't follow what these guys do with instruments.
Those guys are pretty good. They're all fantastic at what they do, and everything fits in well.
..And it wouldn't be a good thread without posting this. I don't know anybody who hasn't seen it, but it's great! He kind of reminds me of Jim Carrey. Not sure why.
Lots of music threads here lately. Well, I might aswel contribute. I've been completely obsessed with "Strawberry Fields Forever" lately, or rather, one particular part.
The change in tone during the part "It's getting hard to be someone, but it all works out". The first time I ever heard it was a few years back, me and some friends were high and drunk and I just kept listening to that part over and over and over...
I still do so it wasn't just the drugs

Was in the final for a competition with my band last night, unfortunately we didn't place and got beaten by a hardcore metal band (Not really my kind of thing). We played 5 songs, 3 that we learnt the day before. Oh how organised we were.

That's the only way to fly
Remember the debut album of The Stooges (Iggy Pop). They didn't have enough material for the album, said the producer. Iggy Pop said: "no, I have more stuff!". He wrote three songs that evening and they recorded it the day after
A little follow-up to the Sgt. Pepper-comment I made earlier; another small piece I absolutely love is in "Goodbye Blue Sky" by Pink Floyd, where they say "... but the pain lingers on".
Another short section I sometimes get obsessed over.
