Suggestions: New Riders for ManGame
Smowz
Here is a few more (mainly Frenchies):

Yann Huguet – France – 2nd May 1984

Now firmly in the domestique category, produced some good hilly classic and small stage race results some years ago. Some evidence of ability to win from a small group. Has raced a couple of grand tours (Giro for Cofidis and Tour for Argos last year) made little impact there but selection shows rider has pedigree. I’d say FL 70, MO 67, HI 72, TT 71 SP 71 ACC 70, a sort of decent low level domestique/ breakaway rider.

Julien Fouchard – France = 20th August 1986

Formerly known as a useful TTer, now seems to be slowly turning into a decent classic man with improving results over the cobbles (19th Gent Weg 2012. His best result this year is 4th at the hilly Boucle de L’Aulne-Chateaulin a 1.1 French cup race.

Florent Barle = France = 17th January 1986

Another Cofidis rider building experience on the tougher cobbled races – finished most of them this year including the Paris Roubaix (in 62nd) certainly enough to merit somewhere in the 70’s. Does well over the hilly stuff particularly in stage races. Finishing 17th on the queen stage of the tour of Belgium one of his best results this year. Possibly CO 70, HI 72/73 something along those lines with some potential to improve.

Remi Cusin – France - 3rd February 1986

Decent classics style rider finishing with the front group in a number of 1.1 classics this year including the Tour de Finistre and Grand Prix de Plumelec-Mobihan. Won a stage at the Post Dabmark Rundt a few years back. Certainly can cope with the small hills, probably another around the 72/73 mark. Mountains has shown little appetite for, rode okay against the clock in the criterium international this year so something in the 60’s for TT and mid to high 50’s in MO. Used to better in the sprints, possibly high 60’s at the moment in SP and perhaps a slightly high ACC.

Cesere Bendetti – Italy – 3rd August 1987

Italian small stage sprinter in the Meersman mold (obviously not as good as Meersman). Has produced some decent results at the Tour of Britain in the last couple of years (5th into Guildford last year and 3rd into Caerphilly in 2011). The type of rider that can survive medium hills but has shown little on the harder mountains (such as he met at the Giro last year) – though did finish second on the KoM comp at this years Tirreno. Something like MO 70, HI 72, TT 64, SPR 73, ACC 71. Looks set to compete in the Vuelta this year so worth watching there.

Yannick Eijssen – Belgium – 26th June 1989

Already in database a free agent ID 5763

Now 26 it may be worth manufacturing some XP (up to lvl 2 XP 0 perhaps) with better climbing stats in light of some really good results recently. Was in the shake up at the San Sebastian Classic (finished 17th tailing off the Belkin group) followed this up with 3rd place up the snowbird climb in the Tour of Utah. Has the potential to be a really good all round climber more on the mountains than for the hilly classics. So something like MO 71 , HI 69 with Lvl2 XP 0 and perhaps POT 5 or 6. He may also be riding the Vuelta so worth watching there as he is in decent form for it.

18th in the European RR champs is his best single result this year he also has a lot of top 20 results in 2.# tours and classics could be a very good rider in the future most likely as a GC rider.

Luca Paolini - OLDIE
- Don't know if you want to correct decent riders from the past back into decent riders, but Paolini has been riding very well this season, in all kinds of terrains. He should be top 30 cobblers in the world and he is a very nice puncheur aswell - Also around the 30 best in the world.

Paolini is how he is in the ManGame because of the stats decreases - and Im not going to reverse that.

But thanks for all the rest. It's much easier for me to update existing riders than add new ones!

Just thought I might suggest some stats for the riders I suggested on page 1.

Name: Johann van Zyl
Maxed stats:
Spoiler
FL 78; MO 66; HIL 74; FTR 77; COB 74; RES 75; REC 70; STA 72; TT 70; SPR 62; ACC 66

Name: Songezo Jim
Maxed stats:
Spoiler
FL 66; MO 75; HIL 72; FTR 73; COB 51; RES 70; REC 67; STA 68; TT 63; SPR 58; ACC 64

Name: Merhawi Kudus
Maxed stats:
Spoiler
FL 68; MO 80; HIL 79; FTR 73; COB 51; RES 77; REC 75; STA 75; TT 71; SPR 63; ACC 75

Name: Till Drobisch
Maxed stats:
Spoiler
FL 73; MO 68; HIL 71; FTR 65; COB 58; RES 68; REC 66; STA 70; TT 74; PRL 76; SPR 65; ACC 66;

You may or may not agree with these stats, but do with them as you please. Higher or lower them according to what pleases you. I put them up just as a suggestion to gauge the talent of the riders. Basically, just know that Kudus is a big talent and has been tipped to finish on the podium of L'Avenir this year.

80 mountain for someone who hasn't raced a WT race is too high imo.

That would be making him just the same level of climbing talent as Pinot...

Firstly a name change: Mwangi Samwel -> Samwel Mwangi
https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...erid=16007

Fritjof Roinas - 3rd August 1994 (19)
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=163393

Younger Norwegian rider who rides for Plussbank. Got 4th at the Himmerland Rundt this year, and 11th in the Junior WC Road Race last year. He's a sprinter who can climb just as well, maybe 75 SP/72 Hill when maxed.

Marcos Garcia Fernandez - 4th December 1986 (26)
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...cos_Garcia

Rides for Caja Rural. Got a 4th during Stage 4 of the Vuelta last year as well as 27th overall, and has had some decent results this year like 11th overall in the Giro del Trentino. Best at Mountains but can also ride over hills pretty well and has some good One Day results. I'd suggest 74 MO and 71/72 HI.

L'Avenir comes before the rider stats need to be decided. We can see how he rides in that.

aidanvn13
I'm just trying to outline that he's probably going to be one of the best riders to come from the continent, but I'm inclined to agree wih you. We should rather watch his performance at L'Avenir first. 80 is high, but I'm just using it to show that he's a promising climber. I mean rating him as 75 MO is sufficient - same goes for my other riders.

Aidan, Till Drobisch is already in the DB, and with a better future TT stat than you suggested.

This is the ManGame DB, not the PCMdaily DB.

Real life is a very handy guide, but it does not need to be a constraining factor.

It certainly wouldnt hurt to have more good African riders, but whether that leads to Kudus getting an especially high mountain stat is up to me.

What would be even better, though is to get a load of greek superhuman talent, that only I want.

Nicolae Tanovitchii from is already in the DB jt1109. I know it,because i signed him last transfer season.
He is now on loan in PrivatBank and will be hopefully lvl3 after the season, so you should notice him later. Smile

Sorry, my mistake. I somehow overlooked Drobisch. Noob mistake. His stats seem to be perfect as is. In my opinion, MG can do with another African star seeing as there are way more African teams, or teams with at least a minor interest in African riders, than there was a few seasons ago. 2 years back there was basically only Rapha Condor - Qhubeka. Now you have my team, MTN, Kenya Airways and Jaguar - Eritel who are fighting for limited African riders. However, final stats and riders are up to SN to decide. Also, in contrast I think CountArach is saying we should be careful about flooding MG with unnecessary talents - a very important point.

[sorry]Okay, to stop this thread from becomming a discussion, I'll shut up now Wink [/sorry]

The 2008 National Champion ITT, which means he's not that useless. He beat Athanasiades back then, who is an OK timetrialist at my team now. But ofcourse Athanasiades was a lot younger and not as good as now Wink.

Andreas is getting old now and his focus is more on training children in his own academy, but he should still be considered a decent rider I guess.

The stats I'd suggest him to have:
FL: 70
MO: 60
HI: 65
TT: 71
PRL: 69
STA: 70-ish
and maybe FI around 70 aswell.

Other stats in the low or mid 60s or even lower I guess.

He's not the most talented guy, but still quite useable.

I'll need a few Dutch talents next year, so here it goes:

BOSMAN Gert-Jan 16/08/1992

Finished 16th int Tour des Fjords this year. I'd make him a valuable domestique on the flat and a good rider for the time - trials.

REINDERS Elmar 14/03/1992

Finished fourth in this year's Olympia's Tour. I'd say he could be the next puncheur superstar.

ROOSEN Sjors 18/09/1991

Finished second in Tour de Berlin. I'd say time - trials should be his speciality.

KONING Peter 03/12/1990

2nd in Olympia's Tour and 6th in the national time - trial championship. He could be the next Joost Posthuma (his ManGame version).

TUSVELD Martijn 09/09/1993

4th in Liege-Bastogne-Liege U23. So he should be a very good puncheur. Maybe a Mollema type of rider - good puncheur that can also ride a good GC in stage races

VAN TRIJP Maarten 06/10/1993

There are plenty of sprinters already in the ManGame, but another won't do too much harm. Especially since Kreder will need someone to lead him out in the future.

VAN GOETHEM Brian 16/04/1991

A breakaway specialist. So a good fighter and flat stat, with a decent hill attribute. Not so good on mountains though.

POUTSMA Stefan 10/09/1991

Maybe the next Dutch GT star?

MEIJERS Daan 11/04/1991
MEIJERS Jeroen 12/01/1993

I'm guessing they are brothers. Maybe a Dutch member can tell me if I'm wrong or not. I'd stay both could turn out to be quite good climbing domestiques.

DOLFSMA Emiel 11/07/1992

Who doesn't love a punchy-sprinter?

Spoiler
I've made this list only by a having a quick look at some of their results. So the specializations I gave them might be totally wrong, but I just went with what the ManGame (ok, I) needs (need)

Okay, so I'm really impatient when it comes to reading what people already mentioned, so it might be pointless.

But danish cycling talents seems to be improving very very positive. I'm not interested in any of them in my team, but I have tried to put something together based on what danish experts and media have said about them.

Mathias Krigbaum - Might be 1995, can't find his data, so I'm treating him as 1994.

Timetrialist, whom became Danish champion in 2012 juniors beating Mads Würtz Schmidt. Came 2 seconds short of the WC title.

Mads Würtz Schmidt - 31. march 1994

Huge talent: Paris-Roubaix winner of U19 2012. World champion juniors 2011. 7th Ster Zwolle this season. Comes out of a large cycling family, so should have the capacity.

Kristian Haugaard Jensen - 27/02-1991

5th Tour of Flanders 2013 (U23). Eksperts says he is a very nice sprinter, who can survive a lot of different terrain, already on Leopard-Treks talent team.

Rides for IAM Cycling, has good results in TT's/Prologues, seems to be a decent sprinter with some top 10's in sprints, but also has decent results in hilly races. Mostly a time trialist I would say.

Samuel Spokes - - 16.4.1992 (21 years)

Can't really say too much about him, but he seems worth being added.. just finished 7th in Avenir's prologue and also 11th in the Aussie NC ITT earlier this year.. lacks outstanding results in his several 2.2(U)/2.1-appearences though, so if anyone knows more about his strengths, feel free to add more.

In 2012, he finished 6th in LBL-espoirs and he did quite well in this challenging stage in Thüringen Rundfahrt this season. So maybe a puncheur-type with decent TT-skills.
