GP Stad Zottegem
Flat rating but has enough hills to make it interesting.
After no attacks for over 100km, Kane Oakley put in a mini-burst which saw some counters, which Dan Lloyd latched onto. 3 others got away with Lloyd and they were out front for 50km until 20km to go, at which point Lloyd sat up to ride leuisurely into the finish.
With 9km to go, as the final hill of the day approached and Nico Mattan surged forwards with Pliuschin in tow.
This allowed Pliuschin to reserve some energy to attack the final hill full on.
Noone responded and the chase wasnt there, a gap emerged.
And Pliuschin is right back in form. He takes the win.

Not unless theres one for the amount of times the game crashes or my computer randomly turns itself off when the race is at the end.

Hoy and Staff have are gradually building form for the Tour of Britain and will come here to test out their time trialing skills. The team will be led by Nolf and Lloyd, who are looking to gain experience towards level 4.
First off is the short 5km prologue.
Wiggins and Hoy provided the British interest
World champion Cancellara was an early starter and took 7'12 but a severely out of form Jamie Staff only lost 1 second on the Swiss rider. Sven Krausss took the lead by 5 seconds before DFL's 2nd rider, Chris Hoy went a further 6 seconds ahead. Gerolsteiner soon struck back though as Ronny Scholz edged out a 2 second advantage, and that would hold for a long time.
As the penultimate rider from each team took to the course, Jens Voigt came 1 second from taking the lead. Our Finnish TT champ, Matti Helminen then stuck in an amazing ride, finishing 6th, 10 seconds down, but 4 seconds faster than Cancellara!
Ronny Scholz victory homes were smashed soon after, as Bradley Wiggins took a whopping 9 second lead. The conditions seemed to turn towards the last riders from each team as Hoste, Clement, Backstedt and Hushovd all broke into the top 10 (Hincapie and Rodas just missing out), with Jens Mouris taking an unbelievable 11th place, his best result of the season.
Wiggins is the winner! Hoy is a credible 7th in his first ProTour TT, despite not being in great form. Only 36th riders can be happy with their perfomances today - everyone else got beaten by Mads Kaggestad!!

Sponsor Goal: Top 5 Overall
Alekandr Pliuschin is back in form and will lead the team, with Manan and Vanderaerden providing sprinting options.
Stage 1 A flat stage with some nasty hills.
With just 76 riders in the race, it could be hard to control so Fleeman goes with the break. He collects a maximum 12 KoM points but the break will be caught.
Manan is unable to participate in the sprint, so our hopes ly with Vanderaerden, who managed to pick a good wheel.
Just like earlier in the season, Vanderaerden's tactic is to follow all the way to the line (Providing Zanotti does well) to grab a better result than his stats would otherwise allow him.
LPR's Marcato took the win ahead of Zanotti and Hagen, with Vanderaerden 5th.

Druivenkoers Overijse
A race which Russell Downing won in 2006, while riding for DFL. But even if he were in our 2007 team and racing here, he would have no chance as the race is cobbled and he is severely underrated in the database anyway.
A very weak field took to the race. Nico Mattan would lead and the weak field is good as hit fitness is at just 42 points. I did this race yesterday and helped tear the race apart, Mattan finishing 4th before my laptop randomly turned itself off.
There were plenty of steep hills, some cobbled, some not.
A lead group soon formed of Quick Step, Chocolaude Jacques and DFL riders. With 39km to go, Chocolaude Jacques' Kenny de Haes attacked.
The chase of him soon whittled down to Rosseler and Mattan.
They came close but De Haes pulled away again. With 18km to go Mattan completed his 4th red bar and had to let go of Rosseler.
De Haes took a comfortable victory.
Rosseler was 2nd, and Mattan took a safe 3rd.
