So after 4 years it's time for a new laptop. My current HP G56 has served me well and handled (barely) 4 versions of PCM, but i've abused it into the ground. So i'm taking my XBone money and investing it into a laptop instead.
So i'm split between two choices (and only these two choices):
Asus X550CA [i3, 6GB, 1TB, windows 8, £349.00 + £3.00 delivery]
Toshiba C70-A [i3, 4GB, 1TB, windows 8.1, £349.99 all-in]
Not much to chose between them Toshiba has less RAM, but it's i3 is a slightly newer and better model. It also has a newer OS included as well as delivery cost, and is reduced from £479.00 (don't ask why it's that much normally). Any thoughts welcome, or alternatives (Note: Must be i3 or higher, 1TB, £349 or less).
But it does mean in 2-7 days i'll have a brand new laptop. Meaning MOAR PCM!!! YAY!!! I will actually be able to do a conventional story with screenshots and everything So expect to see more streaming and PCM related stuff from me very soon.

hehe, I'm going to buy a new laptop soon too. And I'm not even considering anything other than Asus or Lenovo.
So I'd definitely pick the Asus if I were in your place. Plus, I think you might be able to update that 8 to 8.1.

My preference is the Asus as well. A friend recently brought a new Lenovo (one w. a Touchscreen but can't remember the exact one) and it was pretty nice, just lacked the specs at a competitive price. There was a nice one at £400 with an i5, but that £50 is more useful elsewhere.

You should buy an i5, if you have money, of course. The difference between i3 and i5 is quite big, while i5 and i7 aren't that different. Out of these two above, I'd go for Asus aswell.
Talking about technology, my brother is soon going to uni and is completely moving to another town, which means his great (well, at least better than mine) PC is staying here and I am the one taking care of it! 1 or 2 TB memory, 8gb RAM DDR3, 8gb Nvidia GTX *a really strong graphic card, can't remember it*, i5 Intel 3.4 gHz is more than enough for me. Alot quality hours of gaming - here I come!

I have started moving towards the idea of trying to go for a ph.D-program after my master-thesis is done. It's never been a true ambition for me, but lately the idea has seemed more and more appealing.
Can you imagine it? Me? A doctorate?

There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

I can't even imagine you as a real person
It will be anyhow amazing to have for the very first time in the history a track-cycling-hamster that turns into a doctorate.

I've got some life threats from MARSUPILAMI for copying his signature, so I had to remove it. One big sorry to all my fans.
