I've read, the one texture per rider function isn't available? Does this have any effect for the faces? Do they work?

there are some problems with yours skins 
Some aren't in 32 bit, others are a little too larger (1 pixel) but I don't know why some are correct but 1kb higher so the game doesn't recognize it...
Maybe is due to the program you use because to solve it I've simply opened and saved overwriting your files and it works well...
Anyway, I've tried you're creations, and here are the results
I've to say that the results doesn't really excite me

yeah, it doesn't look good at all, and it's not Juri's fault, it's the original face model that is too generic, and I'm pretty sure it can't be changed from rider to rider.

It's usable IMO. If you zoom in enough, everything in PCM looks like it was done by a 5 year old epileptic.....
Could you snap a few shots where you're a little more zoomed out? |

Thanks wanka for the test! That problem with the file size is an old problem with my Paint Shop Pro. It was also in PCM 06 like that. Thanks for the info, from now on, i'll load them into Photoshop and save them there. Than it works for sure.
The original face model is indeed to generic and bad...  At least you can recognize those riders, a bit... ^^
