If you get in a long argument with someone instead of arguing off topic you bring it here. It will be a place where people can enjoy all the arguments.

That's a bit egoistic from them, they're one of the nations that benefited from EU the more... |

earlier EU made some good stuff for developing countries, but now, they're trying to centralize Europe to Brussels(altough, who is in power is Sarkozy and Merkel), making all countries provincies
like the €, this treaty will kill the culture and the uniformize the laws, so im with the irish and everyone that dislike neo-liberalism

Political discussions go to the political thread. This one is meaningless, therefore closed |

When I see all sort of stupid laws Sarkozy & friends invent us here, and how they protect our economy (last example : giving cheap oil to fishers when 1) they consume a lot of fuel 2) they're too many 3) they fish more fish than what is consumed) 4) all activities using oil are penalised by the raise of oil costs, not only fishers), I'm happy that EU comes and tells our politicians that what they're doing is illegal.
The € is a good thing, that masters inflations and makes travellers' lives easier, as well as trade. I can't really contemplate nationalism as a good thing (it's not necessarily that bad either, don't get me wrong), globalisation is better, IMO.
Neo-liberalism ? Wow, it would be a shame Polish plumbers would steal our good French plumbers job. That was one of the crappiest argument I heard during the No campaign here, three years ago. |
