Final stage, no hills, 147 km and the battle for the GC is tight. Van der Velde needs a second place to take the overall, something he managed on both of the previous flat stages while Cobo needs to finish 32 places ahead of Chavanel, unlikely but possible, or gain a single bonus second. How he must regret losing 5 seconds on his team mates in the team time trial now
Favourites are Loddo, Arashiro and De Fauw, and with nothing but the finish to distract our attention the break is unlikely to be given much freedom
Lets start this the final stage in Japan
Reekers goes on a solo break today
26km left and he's back in the hutch
8km left and Bobridge has Van der Velde in the perfect position, Del Nero is lurking on the right, Benitez on the left
4km to go and Van der Velde is still waiting, while Chavanel, sensing Danger, has moved forwards
As the sprint starts Bobridge has dropped back, while Chavanel is leading from the front
It's Chavanel vs Duenas for the win with 1.5km left
And the Yellow jersey moves into the lead, this is how you win a tour
And Chavanel takes an brilliant sprint win, and his back to back stage wins give him the overall title as well
Kilun is 2nd with Konovalovas 3rd to round out and excellent tour for El Al, while Petronas will be disappointed, they really shouldn't have let this race escape them
