Returning from a weekend holiday, it's time to continue the Tour de San Luis. The most difficult climb is still yet to come, but before reaching that stage, there's another time trial - 19 km long, and with the same favourites as on the prologue: Sebastian Lang, leader of the race, will do his best to gain some more time before the mountain stage, and the same goes for Jason Donald and Fredrik Johansson.
With Steven Cozza being very far behind in the GC, he was the first of the 'proper' time trial riders to go and set the mark. And with a time of 12'33, he did what he had to do.
It took a long while until anyone challenged him - but when we reached the top 20, pretty much any rider crossing the line managed to beat his time. First, it was Petrov, then Pedraza, Renäng, Ascani O'Loughlin, Scholz - and more. Ivan Basso also did whatever possible, but only managed to get in 17 seconds after Lindgren of IKEA - Bianchi.
Shortly after, Lindgren's team mate Fredrik Johansson beat his time by 8 seconds - and seconds later, Jason Donald passed the line, beating Johansson with 9 seconds. In the end, though, it was once again Sebastian Lang who took a dominant win - with 9 seconds to Donald.
(I did actually take a screenshot of Lang almost passing Kiserlovski, but PCM did for some reason not react to my request ).
