The last stage before we go in to the mountains, and we have some good news for most riders. The wind is gone, so the GC riders can take it easier.

Favorites for the stage are the same as the last 2 days; Richeze, Greipel and Impey. So far only Impey has won a stage though.

Only a few km's in, there is an intermediate sprint and with nobody out in front, the sprinters are going for it.

Greipel takes the sprint, in front of Foster. Impey just edges Richeze for 3th place.

After that, we got an attack. Lazlo Bodrogi, who is currently last, goes for it. The peleton let's him go.

He takes both KoM sprints, which gives him the mountain jersey. At the first sprint, Voeckler gets second, and Sicard third. At the second sprint, Augustyn edges out Voeckler for second.

Bodrogi's adventure ends with 20km to go, we're going to have a mass sprint.

But with 5km to go, there isn't really a team that has formed a decent train.

When the sprint starts, Beppu has brought Sutton in to pole position. Greipel is also there. Sutton still has a long way to go.

With 1km to go, Sutton is still leading. Greipel is also losing speed, but Óscar Guerao and Impey are coming up at full speed.

Unfortunately for Santander, Sutton is to strong. An impressive win! Greipel hangs on to second place.
