Its time for the hilly, and possibly decisive stage

The two main KoM jersey rivals went into the break - the jersey would be decided today! Cassidy, and Frischkorn were joined by Mesa Flores, Wiyaja, Li, Simunek, Fothen, Pajovic, and Commesso

Their lead was just 3 minutes approaching the 2nd of the days climbs as Sulzberger, Hansen, Vitoria, Bellis and Kruijswijk attack the peleton

Cassidy tops the climb with Frischkorn 5th - a reversal of the first climb where Frischkorn was 1st and Cassidy 5th

The 5 chasers maintained a minutes gap on the peleton as they closed it on the front group

I was a tricky chase but with 30km to go, they successfully caught up

Currently only Nippo lead the peleton - the gap is at 2 minutes

Ferrio and Kreuizger lead the attacks from inside the peleton as we reach the final climb

Numerous others respond. Vaitkus, Davis, Jacques-Maynes, Hungerbuhler, Wiggins, Lengyel and Minard to name but a few

The front group is down to 10 as Cassidy crosses first. The Irishman will therefor win the KoM competition.

Kreuziger is close to bridging to the lead group

Ferrio and sprinter Allan Davis are also nearby, picking up a dropped Simunek - Jacques Maynes is slightly further back

Davis, Ferrio and Jacques-Maynes come together as they chase both Kreuziger and the lead group

But it will be one of the leading 10 to win this stage. Adam Hansen hits the front with 5km to go

Most of the other strong riders are further back. It is Serbian Ijor Pajovic on his wheel and this allows Hansen to get a gap!

Vitoria and Sulzberger realise their mistake but Hansen has a good lead

Allan Davis managed to sprint across and make the front group of 10, a group of 11. They gain time on Kreuziger and Jacques-Maynes, the next to finish

In turn, that duo also got a good enough gap on Ferrio, and Ferrio leads in the peleton having been all but caught by the fast finishing Vastaranta, Minard and Vaitkus.
