Sprinters are favourites for this one but with a hill so close to the finish will they decide the stage?



The 2 man break today consisted of the young jersey wearer, Bush, and the Chinese champ, Liu.



Guillen sprinting to claim 2 bonus seconds with 122 kilometres to go, he would do the same with 78 kilometres to go.

Bush would move into the KOM jersey today, claiming the max points with 43 KM to go. Like yesterday the break would be caught early, no one is out front with 30 KM to go.



Intermediate sprint with 11 KM to go:

Before we know it the sprint is on, McConvey did push on the pace over the final climb but not enough to distance anyone. It is a really scrappy one today. Alpina - Avianca and Fletcher - Garneau put in a big effort early.

Meyer takes the lead, but there are multiple riders coming from behind.

Both Cano and Guillen are coming up fast, each sprinting for themselves. A good tactic to come from behind?


A bizarre 1-2 for ONCE-Eroski Cycling Team.

After a really strange sprint Cano takes the win and Guillen finishes second, the second place sees the Costa Rican move into the race lead. They both sprinted late on and that proved to be the key today.

Nikolaev came from well behind, really fast, and rounds out the podium, the same could be said for Drapac who finished fourth. Geschke, finishes fifth, consolidates his lead in the points classification but is down to second in GC. The TT is up next, no one is more than '22 seconds down.
