We're back in the flat / slightly hilly terrain. The only excitement is whether the sprinters are able to cope with the hills.

... or so we thought. With 5 km to go, a crash happened in the front of the peloton. Thomson, who did very well on stage 8, caused it and took Mazur and Barclay with him.

Back at the front, the hills had destroyed the teams' trains. Instead, it was everyone for themselves with Veilleux in front, then Garcia Rincon, Aramendia, Nizzolo, Didier and Martinez.

It's very close with 1 km to go. Four riders are still in it for the win: Martinez, Veilleux, Didier and Rincon. Behind them, yet another crash as Salgueiro and Astarloza go down!

Quiksilver's back in the game with a stage victory today! Didier takes 2nd and Veilleux third. Bbox? They want Astarloza home safely.
