After an interesting stage 4, we're back in the rather flat terrain - are we up for yet another 1-2-3 for a team?

Unsurprisingly - considering how the other flat stages went - no riders were interested in attacking on this stage. However, due to the rather steep hills (5 %) and the high pace on the final kilometres, some of the sprinters weren't going to feature in the final, e.g. Radolcha and Anuawar who were bought dropped before the final uphill sprint.

In the front, the sprint organisation also turned out to be pretty chaotic. With the finish line finishing uphill, everyone, in theory, had a chance of winning which meant that pretty much every rider in the peloton was fighting for the win. In front were Thomson, then Barclay, Mercado, Mach, Serrano, Zaugg and Veilleux.

Shortly after, parts of the peloton suddenly got other things to think about rather than winning - race leader Yeison Delgado crashed, taking Manarelli with him. For Quiksilver, it didn't look much better in the front as Serrano had taken the lead ahead of Didier, Machado, Zaugg and Mercado.

Passing the 1 km barrier first was Didier while Serrano faded. Machado, with Page on his wheel, still had the wheel of Didier, though. And at the back, both Delgado and Manarelli had got back up, and in Delgado's case, fighting not to lose any seconds.

Victory for Bbox! Didier managed to drop Machado who couldn't keep up with Serrano either. And with 3 men in top then, YouTube - Twitter has reason to be happy too.
