The final hilly stage is a time for someone to confirm the KoM jersey and for others to gain time on their rivals ahead of the final stage TT.

There is a large breakaway

Martinez de Esteban, Cabreira, Seledkov, Machado, Weissinger, Askari, Dviri, Perez Rodriguez, Tizza

But they were down to 4 at the top of the big first hill. Perez Rodriguez, Seledkov, Machado and Martinez de Esteban.

With Cabreira dropped, its a great chance for Seledkov to take the KoM jersey. But he does not score in the next 2 climbs.

But he will eventually get the jersey, as he won the last 2 climbs of the day

The 4 man breakaways lead was over 10 minutes for most of the stage making Perez Rodriguez the race leader on the road but the gap would fall. They will still battle the stage though
