In no particular order: Mori, Barton, Cabreira, Euser, Lewis, Pinto, Azevedo, Axelsson, Matzbacher, Osella.
Having picked up some KoM points in the break on Stage 1, Cabreira went after them today.
He won the first two but attacked too soon on the steep 3rd climb and faded to 2nd behind Mori.
As we got onto the 4th climb, the break had split with Marco Osella being the strongest.
After that climb there are two hills to go. The first is Unclassified while the second holds KoM points and is just 7km of mostly descent away from the finish.
On the first of the two, the GC favourites attack
Osella is gone but teammate Valjavec is in the lead group alon with Danielson, Efimkin, Hagen, Van Huffel and Landaluze. Ribeiro follows at 28 seconds.
At the foot of the final climb, they all attack again
And race leader Efimkin gets a gap!
The other 5 trail him while 6 more riders got away from the peleton and make the 2nd chase group. They are Grabovski, Bertagnolli, Ribeiro, Blanco, Sevilla and Zaballa.
But back up front, Efimkin was able to keep his gap
2 wins in 2 stages for the Russian!
Hagen takes 2nd place
Cabreira takes the KoM jersey with 19 points with Efimkin and Arriagada trailing him on 16.
