The 4 KoM points are all early on in the stage and Pluchkin wins the first one.

The group behind doesnt catch him before the 2nd one, so more points for Pluchkin.

All the riders are then caught by the peleton, except for Pluchkin. So the Moldovan takes the 3rd KoM sprint, just ahead of some new attackers.

He wins the first intermediate sprint and then takes 2nd in the final KoM sprint, behind Stubbe.

Serrain, Stamsnijder, Mugerli, Swindlehurst, Wu, Keizer and Stubbe form the day's breakaway with Pluchkin.

And the peleton arent worried at all about chasing down the break, so we will have a new race leader today.

With 80km to go ,Keizer is dropped. With 50km to go, Stubbe and Serrano are struggling but catch up again. From 25km to go onwards, Pluchkin is desperately trying to cling on - suffering from his KoM point chasing efforts.

Theres a sprint with 12km to go, and Stamsnijder, Wu and Mugerli use it to get away from the rest of the break.

But Wu cant hang on to the other 2, while Pluchkin is dropped by the other 3 members of the break.

Stamsnijder is a stronger sprinter than Mugerli, but Mugerli darts away as the sprint begins.

And Stamnsnijder has no answer, victory for Mugerli!

Swindlehurst takes 3rd, ahead of Wu, Stubbe and Serrano. Pluchkin takes 7th but now dominates the KoM competition.

Aitor Galdos takes the remaining 2 CT points with 8th.

For some reason, Stetina, Bajadali, Raisin and Petersen dropped off the field to help Huff. They finished 15 minutes behind Mugerli and 3 minutes ahead of Huff. Hardly a useful move at all.
