All the favourites have been marking themselves but there's no no chance of following wheels here. Stage 9 is a time-trial with 31km, being more than half of them, mountainous. The main favourites are Henao Montoya, Pedraza and Brajkovic. But, Perez Cuapio, Moreno and Danielson will surely try to prove this wrong.
Mazur has the stage lead for some time. 58'15'' is his mark.
Despite of losing more than 40 seconds for Mazur at the second check, Vasquez takes the lead on the top beating Bruseghin (who took the lead from Mazur) by 1'10''.
On the second check, Ribeiro is the first by also 40 seconds. On the finish, he takes the lead from Vasquez by 1'06''.
Ribeiro is still leading when Brajkovic takes the first place in the first check. He beats Nicácio, the former leader at that point, by 15 seconds. All the race favourites lose time on this check.

Meanwhile, Soler takes the second place in the finish, losing 30 seconds.
Brajkovic is making a brilliant time-trial so far as he takes the lead in the second check. And nobody can steal it from him.

Nicácio takes the lead from Ribeiro in the finish as he beats him by 27 seconds.

Pedraza takes the third place at 33 seconds.
Danielson almost catches Moreno, who makes 2'14'' more than Brajkovic. While the American takes the 4th place at 37 seconds which allows him to keep the race lead.
