Welcome back to the final stages of the Vuelta a Colombia. After some work with the db, we managed to make this work again. (special thanks to Mercury from pcmgeeks.dk)
So today a mountain stage but which ends somehow with a long descent. Bookies favs are Sella,Rujano and Devolder.
BOTD with the same names Possoni,Medvedev, Redondo..
Suzuki and Magenta teams worked hard and before the start of the descent the breakaway was caught. Imediately Sella and the race leader Serpa attacked.
Rujano was the only who could join the duo in front. They are going very fast on the descent with a compact bunch in the back
The trio is working very well, each rider relays and their gap is almost 1 min with 15 km to go. In the favs group Devolder has to work himself to try to catch the 3 guys.
The gap remains constant somewhere at 50 seconds and the trio is entering in the last km. Rujano is in front followed by Serpa and Sella in the last place.
The venezualian rider outsprints the race leader to win the last mountain stage. Brilliant win !
In the peloton Pedraza attacked and tries to make the gap smaller. He didn't catch the trio, there was a small gap but the AI didn't want to measure it so Devolder didn't lose too much time.
